Chapter 11: The Mall

Fionna POV

It was Saturday, which means...NO SCHOOL! I'm kinda glad because all I was doing this whole week was trying to tell Flay I'm not ready for a relationship like that but every time I tried telling him that something or someone interrupted. It's like the universe doesn't want me to tell him.

I just laid on my bed thinking about what I could do today. Cake was going on a date with Mono. Mono and Cake really like each other. He can't talk but he uses some kind of sign language. I kept thinking about things I could do. Suddenly someone knocked on my door.

"Come in!" I yelled allowing whoever was knocking at my door to come in.

"Hey, sis."

"Hey, Cake."

"I'm going on a date with Mono. I made you some breakfast. It's on the table. That's all so bye, Hun."

After she left I got out of bed and got dressed. I decided to wear skinny jeans, a blue tank top, black vans and my bunny headband.

I went downstairs and saw a plate full of bacon and eggs. I sat down and ate it. When I was done I decided to text Fia to see if she was busy today.

Me: Hey Fia! You busy today?

Fia: No actually I'm pretty bored -_-

Me: Wanna hang out?

Fia: Sure!! Let's go to the mall!!!

Me: Awesome! But...can you pick me up since you can drive

Fia: Sure. I'll be there in around 30 minutes.

Me: Ok. See you later.

I put my phone down and went upstairs and waited for Fia. I listened to some music so I won't be bored to death. After a while someone rang the doorbell. I grabbed my bag, went downstairs and opened the door.

"Hey, Fionna. Let's go," Fia dragged me to her car and finally let me go once we stood right in front of it.

"Someone is ready to go shopping."

"Of course! It's one of my favorite things to do. By the way, did you talk to Flay?" she asked me.

"Uhm no but I've been trying this whole week."

"I'm sure you'll find the right time to tell him. And also, I heard you're getting a ride from Marshall Lee every day."

"Yeah. How did you know that?"

"Hello!" she said in a 'duh' voice, "he's only the most popular guy at school. Of course I know. A lot of girls are really jealous."

We stopped talking after that and we soon arrived at the mall. You can buy all kind of stuff here. Weapons, potions, wands, special clothing and a lot of other weird but cool stuff.

Me and Fia got out of the car and entered the mall. A lot of people were there. I guess it's because it's Saturday.

"Hey, Fionna! Come look at this!" Fia yelled telling me to come.

I walked towards her and looked at what she was looking at. It was a poster saying 'Marshall Lee and The Nightmares performing live at the mall from 7:30pm-9:00pm'.

"Isn't that cool?" Fia asked.

"Yeah! But I bet there will be a lot of people there," I said.

"Well of course! His band is amazing and he's a really good singer and guitar player."

"I know."

"Has he ever sang in front of you like just in front of you?"

"Well, I heard him sing alone before but that was kinda not planed. He didn't know I was listening until I said something. And another time he asked me to come to practice with him. We sang a song together that day," I answered.

"Really? Do you like him?"

"Yes, of course. He's my best guy friend."

"Uhu...ok," I raised an eyebrow confused by her answer. There is nothing going on between me and Marshall.
