"You know I don't like it." Charles said forcefully when he noticed what Erik was doing. Erik looked at him and then looked back down to the cigarette packet that he had just pulled out of his jacket pocket. He was dying for a cigarette but then he knew that Charles detested the smell of the smoke. Charles sighed.

"If you want me to move in with you you're going to have to stop smoking." Erik looked at him as if he had just told him that he had killed Erik's mother.

"What! You know there's a no smoking policy in my building, and if it wasn't against the law I still wouldn't do it." Erik protested with passion and Charles knew that he was fighting a losing battle, Erik had been smoking since he was seventeen and he wouldn't give it up that easily. Plus he knew that Charles loved him too much to go through with his threat.  Still, Charles had to go through with it now that he had started.

"Your mother likes it less than I do, every time we go around there and you have to go outside to have a cigarette  I get an earful on how it'll kill you eventually and you know what, she's right it will."

"Charles I have three a day, four if I'm stressed, but that's it. And I always try to never smoke around you, it's just that I haven't had one since this morning and I'm dying here." Charles could not help the laugh that escaped him as Erik said the last bit of his pleading speech, nor could he stop his snort at the number of cigarettes Erik said that he had per day, it was more than just three or four.

"Fine okay then, I won't mention it again but please just try and refrain from doing it around me. And if you try to kiss me after having one then you've got another thing coming."

"Alright, deal."
