"Gott verdammt!" Charles heard as he entered the apartment, he immediately wondered what was wrong as Erik never reverted back to his mother longue unless he was feeling extreme emotion. He stepped into the living room expecting to see Erik in some dire situation. He became a little confused when he just saw the man sat on the sofa holding his phone.

"Something wrong Erik?" he asked as he set his satchel down on the coffee table. Erik looked up and shook his head.

"No, nothing wrong." Erik replied quickly to Charles' question and then returned his attention to his phone, he didn't even ask how Charles' day was or complain about one of his insufferable co-workers . Charles shrugged and opened his bag, he had some papers to grade and he could get some done now before dinner. Speaking of dinner...

"Erik? You cooking dinner tonight or do you want to order something?" Charles asked as he opened the first test paper.

"Hmm." Was what he got in reply. Charles looked up from the paper and looked over to Erik. From where he was sat in the armchair he couldn't see what Erik was doing on his phone, he could only see that he was scowling at it. Charles frowned.

"Erik, what are you doing on your phone?" Charles had never seen Erik pay this much attention to the device, the only reason the man has it was because Charles insisted on it. Erik glanced at Charles for a second but that was it, Charles doubted that the other man had even heard what he had said to him. Charles started to grade his papers.

"Scheiße!" Erik exclaimed a little while later. Charles looked up with a start, Erik had an even bigger scowl on his face than he did a little while ago. Charles put the paper he was grading down and went to go sit next to the man on the sofa.

"Now what has the phone done?" He asked as he settled, Erik looked up a him.

"I can't get passed this goddamn level." he said, Charles looked at his phone. He was shocked to find that the thing getting Erik all worked up was level 57 of Candy Crush. Charles couldn't help his laugh, the man sitting beside him turned his death glare from the phone to him.

"This is what has you so frustrated?" he asked through his laughter.

"Well yes." Erik looked at him, "this is no time for laughing Charles. This has to be the most frustrating game to exist!" Erik exclaimed. Charles just laughed harder. Erik put his phone down on the coffee table with a little more force than necessary and stood up. "I'm going to make dinner."
