Time lapse! 3 more years!😱😱
"Zach!" I scream running through the house but stop in the middle of the door way to the living room where Zach sits against the bottom of the couch with Tyler on his lap.
"We did it." We'd been waiting for these words for a long time just a little mark. I hold up the stick and Zach's eyes widen.
"We did it?" Zach asks forgetting about Tyler and his toy. I just nod and close my eyes, smiling. I feel arms around my waist and Zach puts his chin on my head.
"We did it." I confirm. We'd been trying for a year and now I had a little fetus inside of my stomach. I pull back and face Zach. "I can't believe we did it!" I whisper scream and shake his hands in mine.
Zach laughs a little and kisses my forehead.

"What color is this?" I ask Tyler who sits on my lap with building blocks scattering the floor in front of us.
"Batman!" He squeals and then ducks under my arm with the block I was holding seconds before between his hands.
Batman had just became a thing again from a long time ago. Tyler hadn't seen the movies, but he was thrilled with all the different figurines in Walmart.
"What color is batman?" I ask and pick him up under the arms but he retreats into a ball. "What are you even doing?" I ask laughing. He was such a small kid but he had fabulous light brown hair and his eyes were a seaweed green. He'd changed a lot from when he was first in my arms, but be really was a beautiful boy.
"The block." Tyler clicks his tongue and stands on my thighs uneasily and pushed his hands on my shoulder. "Is black."
He was a smart kid when he wanted to be, but he was such a spoiled kid too. I try and not give him everything he wants and I try not to put his face in newspapers because I don't want that pressed against a child who can't defend himself yet.
We already had to go to this interview, since my second book was coming out soon.
"Come here." I say and pick Tyler up. He curled his legs up and almost refused to let me hold him. "Tyler." I say warningly and he smiles and buries his head in my hair.
I pry his feet away from his waist which causes him to start screaming. I roll my eyes and pull him away from me enough so I can look him in the eye.
"Stop being so rotten." Then I just put my arm under his butt and weak the other arm around his back so his head is hanging over my shoulder.
•••
"Cut it out." I frown and force Tyler into a plaid shirt and khaki pants. I already spiked his hair up in the front and now I was trying to button his shirt up.
"Hey Zach come in here!" I yell through the hallway. Zach walks in, still in the middle of buttoning his own shirt. "Can you fix him up, I have to get ready." I stand up and shake my head.
"Yeah, definitely." Zach nods and leans down on the floor in front of Tyler.
"Okay thanks." I say and stand up. I speed walk into my bedroom and pull out a three quarter sleeve black shirt with a pair of blue jeans and a plaid scarf that matches Zach and Tyler's shirt. I've already straighten my nearly straight hair that I cut last year and donated. My hair grew back a lot thicker than it was before. I decided I knew what it was like to be bald and one kid won't have to go through that. I made sure to give it to a program that makes them for free too. Now my hair was a few inches past my shoulders.
Those years of my life where I was always in the hospital are like another reality. No- more of a fantasy. Like it was all fiction.
I don't love it here, but it's home I guess. Sometimes I might get swarmed with reporters or something but for the most part I can stay in the shadows.
"You got him ready?" I yell through the house as I re-apply mascara and lip gloss before I get to the door and zip up my boots as Zach comes out of Tyler's bedroom with Tyler holding his hand walking with him. Tyler is one of the cutest kids I know, but maybe I'm just saying hat cause he's my kid I mean, that's what parents do, but he is so short. He's the smallest kid j know too, but I don't care I think it makes him cuter.
"Come on let's go." I say and open the apartment door to the eery hallway. "Turn off the lights in the living room." I say before Zach shuts the door. "I'll get Tyler. I pick up Tyler under the arms and he makes some sort of "Wheeeee!" Noise as I hold him up on my hip while he plays with the tips of my hair.
"Okay let's go." Zach says. He's been such a good father over the years and has been so useful. One think I do know at least is...
I never could've done any of this on my own.
