War is Coming

I wake up with Carson's arm draped across my waist. I turn over and look at him, he is so peaceful when he sleeps. I want to get to know him more, I want to know Colin more. I need to figure this out, but with all the craziness around me, I can't figure out this crazy right in front of me.

I don't notice that I'm staring at Carson as his eyes flutter open. I'm just lost in this trance of deep thought.

"Like what you see." Carson says as he winks at me.

"In your dreams loverboy" I play shove him.

He flips us over so he's on top of me.

'OH YES, THIS IS WHAT I HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR! COME AND GET ME BABE!' Arianna yells through my head.

'SHUT UP' I yell back.

"It's mate to you Cameryn. I'm not a creepy schoolboy with a crush. I am spiritually chosen to be with you." HE has a mischievous look in his eye and he brings his mouth towards mine and kisses me. Sparks erupt through my body and I kiss back. There's such love and lust in this kiss. He moves his lips down to my neck lightly sucking on it. I can't stop him, but I know it's wrong because of Colin.

I hear a knock on the door and stop him. I push him off and run to the door. I open it to reveal Carrie with some breakfast and paperwork for me.

"Carrie" I let her in.

"These are plans for our security change, and since you've been out for 2 days I thought you and that fine piece of man meat would be hungry."

Carson blushes, and I take the tray from Carrie.

"Carrie, why did you let me stay asleep for 2 days."

"There were only minor problem that we could handle ourselves and you were tired."

"Thank you Carrie." She smiles and heads out of the room and I bring breakfast to my bed, and Carson and I eat it like the wild animals we are.  I look over and see Carson looking at the security plans.

"Hey! Top secret buddy!" I roll it up and hit him on the head with it.

"Hey! We are mates, and I can help I'm an alpha too ya know." He sticks his tounge out at me.

"Fine" I give in and we talk about revisions to it and hand them to Rich. Everything should change very soon days at most. We adjust quickly around here.

I decide it's time to jog and with Carson away from his pack house he's usually on the phone yelling at someone. He's so adorable when he's mad, but to others it's probably scary. He has to do some paperwork, so I go to take my jog.

I just go on my usual path. It's quiet and I always hear the birds. Something is different today, maybe it's just colder outside, I have no idea. I head towards the lake where I usually rest for a bit during my runs. There is see him, Johnny a lower down pack member with his throat cute and eyes scratched out. He was impaled in the stomach to attach him to a tree.

"Oh my god!"
'OH my god!' Arianna says.

I run over and try to feel for a pulse, which there's no point because I know inside, he's dead and has been for a while.

'Carrie' I call through mind link.

'Yes Cameryn'

'Get Rich, get anyone... Johnny has been murdered and I don't know what to do. It is an act of war.'

'Yes Alpha'

I didn't realize that I was using my alpha voice. I don't know how to handle an event like this. Poor Johnny, he was so nice; back in school days he used to bring me a flower every Monday, just to make the start of the week a little sweeter. Then I see it, attached to his shirt rolled up, is a note.

'This is the first of many, keep an eye out "Alpha". We are not done with you or your pack. We want your pack, and everything in it. Men, women, children, money; they will all bow down to me or face death by my hand. You have no idea what is in store for you. You don't even have a clue who I am or better yet who we are. Keep an eye out, because once you blink it'll all be over."

I begin to shack I have never met, or seen anything so vile in my life. How could a pack, or a person do this to a man.

Carrie, Rich, and a bunch of warriors appear withing 10 minutes. They all are stunned at the appearance of Johnny. He was everyone's friend, I know that he wasn't high ranking, but he was a good person.

I tell Rich and Carrie and Seth, a high ranking warrior, about the note. Tonight I will announce it to the whole pack. No pressure right, just announcing to my pack, as alpha, that we have an enemy and so far they're winning.
