Everyone was shocked, there was no masks, no power to be had. Only this ancient body rearing its head for a fight. "Like hell we will" You lunged at it, only to feel the worst shock of your life as the being raised it's staff and unleashed a torrent of lighting on you. You dropped to the ground, panting as most of your muscles felt like they were burnt like charcoal or just downright numb. The others stepped back, your example not reassuring st all. "Fools. None will stand against the mighty Magnus staff" he continued to electrocute you, probably to set the example. You screamed in primal, and pure pain as your mind itself started to feel like cooked meat. Stopping his electrical torture of you he spoke to the others "Surrender your weapons to me and he lives, in what crippled condition he is in, or continue to resist my demands and he dies in this tomb." He began the assault again, this time raising you into the air. "STOP" Akame screamed, worried for you. You would have felt utter joy if your entire body wasn't feeling numb or in now inexplicable pain. He complied "Offering to take his place girl?" he asked, leveling his staff at her. Hearing this you forced your body to fight to stand, blocking him from hurting her. "How" he began, shocked as you raised your sword and slashed, again and again. "Go now" No one but the corpse noticed your eyes were now glowing. Glowing red. Shocked in place you whirled and yelled "Leave now before I force you to with my blade." You turned and slashed at him just as the lighting arced from the staff into your outstretched arm. Dragging the more reluctant ones out they all left. Smiling you slashed at the lever to the door, which slid up and sealed you both in. "Even if you kill me. They escaped you, you rotten bastard." You turned to face the now recovering man "It does not matter." He unleashed the power of his staff again.
"No. No open it goddammit." Akame screamed as she battered the door "We have to help him" Kurome, the one holding Akame back aside from Guy, tried to make her see reason "We can't. He has the key with him. And he wanted us to run Akame we need to trust him." Akame thrashed in their grip "I don't care he's like family to us, we aren't going to abandon him." Calmly a new voice chimed his opinion "If you don't leave him you'll all die. The tombs collapsing without the barrier to support it." A thundering crash supported the claim as all six whirled to the voice. And saw the black figure. He wasn't human by any margin. His eyes were totally engulfed in a crimson red, and glowed in the dark of the room. He appeared to be almost reminiscent of a humanoid lizard instead of a human, a long and slender tail protruding from his black body. As well as what looked akin to devils horns protruded from his skull. They looked at each other "Who are you" lying on the spot the figure replied "The final wraith. I protect the travellers and warriors who try to test the cavern. Leave and you will not be harmed by the collapse" Akame stepped foward, sword in hand but not aloft "Go to Hell. We aren't leaving until our friend walks through that door again and joins us" tears streaming down her cheeks the figure was unswayed, without feeling he added "And you will be crushed under the rubble and dead alongside him" and disappeared. "Akame he didn't stand a chance you saw that. We can't stand around waiting for him to come back" they all began to leave, Kurome dragging Akame by the hand. Her tears getting worse Akame looked back one last time at the door and whispered "I'll never forget you. (F/N) (L/N)." And began to follow Kurome.
