James

I'm walking to the café to get Nadine some food. Why does she want me to buy her a croissant? Last time I checked, she hates the weird smell of croissant. Maybe because the only croissant she's tasted was the one in packs.

Pft. Silly. She's an artist but she's never tasted a fresh baked croissant?

Then Lauren called me

"Hello?" My jaw dropped in shock "WHAT?!"

Nadine is giving birth! Stupid me! Dapat inutos ko nalang to eh!

"I'M ON MY WAY. WHERE ARE YOU?!" I asked

(Lobby, James. Hurry!)

I ended the call and ran as fast as I can. I saw Lauren, assisting Nadine. As soon as I got to them, I carried Nadine. She's weak. Hell, damn. She's in pain. Of course she is, stupid! She's giving birth to twins.

"Hang on." I said to Nadine and she just nodded slowly. I carried her to the back seat and Lauren sat there with her while I drove as fast as I could.

The nearest hospital here was 5 blocks away. Not that far. We reached there in a span of 15 minutes.

We quickly brought Nadine to the delivery room but then the nurse stopped me and they brought Nadine inside the delivery room

"Excuse me, who are you guys?" The nurse referred to me and Lauren

"I'm her husband." I said

"I'm her sister." Lauren said

"Alrighty then, let's go in." The nurse said

Nadine gave birth at 11 pm on 6th of December. Her labor lasted for 8 hours. She fell asleep as soon as our babies cried for the first time.

"Waah! So cutee!!" Lauren squealed

I fell into tears

From the nursery, I brought our babies into Nadine's room so that Nadine can see them.

"They're beautiful.. Just like their mom." I said while holding my children on both my hands.

"James.. Take care of our children." She said weakly

Wait, what?!

"W-what?! What do you mean? Are you hurt? Please, don't leave me.." I cried

"Stop crying, will you? Ingay mo magising pa mga anak natin. Hindi kita iiwan. Hindi ako mamamatay, ano ka ba?! Matutulog ako. Pagod ako, James. 8 hours din yun, no! Alagaan mo muna sila habang tulog ako."

Phew. What a relief. I overthought. Again.

The next day...

I'm carrying them again. I love them. So much. I don't want to be separated from them. But I need to.

"Have you thought of a name?" I asked Nadine

"Yeah." She said and gave me a paper

Janine Miracle Alexandra L. Reid

Natalie Victoria Alessandra L. Reid

"Beautiful.." I said
