Today I heard my grandpa and step dad discussing it and how it's not a woman's place. (I could argue that!) They also mentioned how they had to make the boot camp easier so that the women wanting to go into service could do it. They believe that if a woman can't even do what is required, if they can't even do that then how will they do in actual combat? Okay, it's not a woman's fault that she can't do certain things. At least half of the women I know can't even do a single pushup, and they're not out of shape or anything. The female body just isn't made to be able to do some of those types of things. Butthatdoesn'tmakewomenweakeranditcertainlydoesn'treducetheirpassionandtheirwanttobethereservingandgivingtheirlivesupfor their country.
I guess you guys can see which side of the line I stand with this, and it is not just because I am a female. I just think women should have every right that a man does, especially when it comes to things like this (though these women need to take into consideration monthly circumstances... 😐).
But what are your thoughts and opinions?
(Sorry if this brings up anything too sensitive, I'm just wanting to open my mind to other people's opinions than my own, my step dad's, and my grandpa's, and to maybe organize my thoughts and feelings on it. This should benefit everyone though, not just me!! This is an INTERACTIVE notebook. We need to interact with other people and other Christians and be willing to understand and RESPECT other people's ways of thinking. It's a very good life skill to work on!)
Anyway, back to the topic! Women in military? Tell me what ya think! :)
