So... It's two weeks into the new year. Have you kept up with your New Year's resolutions or have you already come to the conclusion that they were never going to happen anyway? 😂
See that's the thing. We say we want to accomplish something, but after about a week or so, we lose sight of our motivation and we find ourselves desperately wishing to do something different with our time. I am guilty of it. Daily, if that's possible. But, by the Lord's grace, I found a couple of methods that I can easily work with and that keep my focus on the goal, the light at the end of the tunnel.

I make charts of my daily challenges for exercises, Bible reading, and unique challenges to get me out of my comfort zone. (I also track my monthly stuffs in this journal, and trust me, ladies, it's worth it!)
I don't know about you, but I am a huge visual and hands-on learner and completer. My motivation for these exercise challenges is literally that I get to mark it off in my bullet journal. It sounds silly and possibly girly of me, but it is truly so effective! Eventually, I will get to the point of wanting to exercise or read my Bible just because I begin to enjoy it the more I do it, but the process starts with my desire to fill my journal.
It's not for everyone, I know. Find what works for you! 😁
♠Ipray. Of course, this may seem like a no-brainer, but prayer is one of the most powerful things we hold the ability to do! Thank you, Jesus for that! And when we persistently ask God for help in the little things like helping us remember to brush our teeth before we go to bed, then He will have a much easier time taking care of the big things because He then knows He has our complete trust and hope for every bit of our lives. Make sense? 😅
♠ I tell othersabout my goals. Some things we like to keep on the DL, but when you share a plan with someone else, you are more likely to want to do it. Saying anything out loud in person adds a whole other level of seriousness to it. Call me crazy, but I want abs. Like toned abs. It wasn't a New Year's resolution of mine, but it is simply a feature that I would like to come to having at some point within this year. I think I've told around five people total prior to now, and every time I do, I get a little boost inside of me, like, "Heck yeah, tech yeah! I'm gonna have rock hard abs, my dudes!"
A bit of controversy may arise when you share your plans with others, and that's awesome!! Why? Because you can use that negativity, that "You'll never be able to do that!" or "That's such a waste of your life, man." And turn it into fuel! When I told my ex-boyfriend about wanting abs (while we were dating), he said that girls shouldn't get abs; it looks weird and only boys should have them. I disagree, so now I am using that as my motivation!! See? Negativity = Motivation. Remember that!
