Okay, so this isn't actually a Q&A, but I didn't know what else to call it since it is about me.
Well, anyway...
Today was my very first marching competition actually marching (last year I went to competitions but I was a runner and just helped with backdrops and props) and oh my gooses! It was AWEmazing!
WE GOT •A FIRST DIVISION RATING (the highest you can get) •AN OVERALL SCORE OF 92.5 (out of 100, which is better than our band has EVER done at our first competition) •FIRST PLACE IN OUR SIZE GROUP (4A) •THE MOST ENTERTAINING SHOW AWARD •THE MOST OUTSTANDING SOLOIST AWARD (to one of our soloists) •THE MOST OUTSTANDING COLOR GUARD AWARD AND •FIRST PLACE OVERALL!!!
It was also one of my personal best runs of the show yet and I'M JUST SO HAPPY! I was literally almost in tears when we were walking off of the field because we did so good! My first marching competition was the best one our band has had in years! I'm so glad I got to be a part of it!!!
That's really I wanted to say, so can I just do a little marching band feature? Yep.
