I wake up to an uneasy feeling in my abdomen. And I'm afraid I know the reason.

I groan and get my lazy arse out of my bed, clutching my stomach for dear life. Why does this have to happen?!

I rush towards the calendar and check the date.

Good lord, it's going to be a long day.

"Liana, are you okay?" Myra asks at the dining table and I simply ignore her.
Yep, the moody me has come alive.

"Liana?" She tries again and I don't respond.
"Your mother is asking something, Liana." Dad barges in and I am forced to oblige.

"I'm fine." I say, not to anyone in particular.
No one disturbs me after that and I silently thank them.

Dad drops us and hurries off. He has his flight tonight and he'll leave. He'll simply leave for home and let our conditions deteriorate at the hands of our beloved mother. How considerate of him is that, right?

Jeez, how I love my dad so much. He really wants us to bond with that pathetic excuse of a mother. The delusional him.

"Liana, are you alright?" Hazel asks, concern shadowing over her face. I look at her and sigh.
"No, I'm not." I say out loud and it feels good to have said that.

"What's wrong?" She puts a hand on my shoulder and frowns.
"Nothing. Well, it's the time of the month. And dad leaving tonight isn't helping anyway. Plus, there's this bad bitch who has made it her life's mission to ruin me completely. I'm not in a mood for all this, Hazel."

"Do you wanna bunk school and go back home? We can call dad if you want."

"Thanks, Haz. But it's alright. I have music class today and I can't miss it."

"Right. You and music have a far fetched understanding."

"Shut up, you kido." I ruffle her hair, which annoys her so much.

"You shut up, Liana Matthias Hall!" He punches my arm. "I'll see you later!"

"Yeah, later!"

Yeah, well. I head inside the huge building and make my way to my locker.
It seemed funny to not locate a minion stalking me. Or worse, the queen bee herself.

I stack all my books inside and pick out the ones for English literature.
Setting them inside my bag, I shut the locker and turn around.
The first bell rings, indicating the end of homeroom.

I hurry up, increasing my pace, and turn left. There are people storming out of the classrooms and the aisle is a complete mess.

Trying not to fall, I tip toe towards my class.
But, the progress wasn't as smooth as I had expected it to be.

My right foot gets hit by something, and soon I'm flying across the corridor, only to land my jaw on a fucking hard shoulder.

An arm instantly wraps around my waist and I'm saved from the massive fall that could've gotten me face first on the cemented hallway.

"What the fuck do you think you're doing?" Elliot roars and pulls me up to my full height.

"I.." I whimper and then there's this terrific pain in my back. My hand reaches the spot and I wince.

Curse my life even harder, would you?

"Liana? Are you alright?" Elliot asks, touching the small of my back and leading me towards an empty classroom.

Well, I don't miss the sight of a snickering Letty George and her minions. I show them the finger and follow Elliot's lead.

He shuts the door behind him and makes me sit down on one of the seats.
