"hey, Liana!?" I turn around, just to find some guy jogging towards me.
"Yes?" I take support of the wall beside me and try not to yawn.
"Um, do you have two minutes to spare?" He asks nervously. Do guys really get that nervous?
"Two minutes. Shoot." I say, making a face.
"Thank you!" He sighs. "Umm, I wanted to a-ask... i-if you a-are-"
"Honey? I don't have the whole freaking day for you, okay? Make it fast." Colour drains out of his face.
"Umm.. are you free on Saturday?" I raise an eyebrow. "Would you like to go on a date with me?"
I almost laugh out loud.
"Listen, tall person?" I start. "I'm sorry but I think you should find some other girl to go on a date with. I'm not in a mood for some dating experience right now. I'd rather stick worms into my ears." He grimaces and runs away.
Such a weirdo. The day is in a buzz today. It can't be more boring than this.
I bunked three lectures and snored in two classes. I don't remember about the rest of them.
Heather didn't show up today, to my utmost displeasure. I had to sit with Mandy instead. She's a friend, but an annoying one. She's obsessed with Tyler McCarthy and I literally zone out of the conversations which involve him.
Guess today's a bad day, after all.
***"Haz, I'm home!" I shout as I hang my bag along the hook.
"Congratulations!" She shouts back, annoyance filled in every core. I frown.
Grabbing a bottle of cold water, I head upstairs, just to find Hazel writing shit on the wall opposite to her bedroom door.
"What do you think you're doing, huh?" I ask, gasping as she keeps on dragging a permanent marker.
"I'm trying to release my frustration without being violent." She exclaims. Oh, this kid!
"Listen, kido? That's a toddler's time pass, you know?"
"Don't." She points a finger at me and I gasp at the proximity of her personality with mine. She sounds so much like me right now.
I roll my eyes at her and dash inside my room, leaving her to her own business.
I plonk down on my bed and grab my ear phones from the bedside table.
Sticking them into my ears, I play the song I wanted to record next and start humming along with it.
It's called 'Just For You' by my-future-hot-shot-husband Gabriel Stone. This guy makes me drool over his songs like anything. The lyrics always end up tormenting me through the night...
So, let's begin what we call a life
And cherish it together.
A night out, picnic or a long drive
Can give charm to this weather.
Oh, I would steal you
From this world
Oh, I would hold you close
Closer than ever.
And I would run for the shooting star
That'll be just for you.I get all teary-eyed when I listen to this song. I so wish that he'd one day write such a beautiful song for me... I'll be on cloud-
"Lia, do you have a moment?" Hazel's squeak manages to get past my ear phones. I pull them out and sigh.
"Go on, little kid."
"Again, don't ever call me that. I need your help."
"What's wrong?"
