Kendall woke up to an unfamiliar warmth.

When her extremely tired body finally managed drag itself away from sleep and dive into consciousness, Kendall realised there was something out of ordinary.

Without even opening her eyes, she could feel something wrapped around her back. Making it feel slightly warmer than other parts. Her chest was also considerably warmer.

A fabric was covering her body from her toes to her chest, which was usually a state which she never preferred. Though she didn't have a choice during the past few weeks since Peter was considerably colder than any place she'd ever been to.

Slowly opening her eyes, what Kendall could vaguely see was someone's neck. Not someone's really. Cara's.

She had her arm wrapped around the blonde girl's neck, buried in her hair. Morewover, her body was half laying on the older girl's. Cara's arm went low to her waist. Her cheek was lying against the blonde girl's shoulder, close to her collarbone, providing her with the smell of Cara's perfume.

For whatever reason, a small smile made its way to the brunette's lips. As if for a second, she forgot who it was that she was so close with. Yet, the thought didn't disturb her as it did before. She didn't mind being there.

She very slightly raised her head, smiling just a tad more at the sight of Cara's cheek pressed against the pillow, her mouth lightly agape, facing the other side of the bed. She had a very childish and immature yet peaceful expression on her passed out face.

Quietly chuckling at the sight, Kendall put her head back on Cara's shoulder. This was Cara Delevingne. A red line for anyone that was close to her friends and family. A red line no one should ever dare think coming close to. Yet here she was.

She was quite certain Cara and her would end up in a catfight of some sort or possibly something similar. Not wanting to get up and argue just yet, specially with the tiredness she still had after yesterday's hyper concert, Kendall closed her eyes, pretending to have never woken up. She slightly relaxed her muscles and eased her body.

She could hear the older girl breathe very clearly. She took deep slow breaths as if she was trying to take the most of every single inhalation. Her chest was falling and rising slowly, giving Kendall a calming feeling.

Without bothering to think about anything other than silence and calmnes, Kendall sighed quietly, almost returning to her sleeping position.

.

Before a long time had gone by, Cara woke up.

Kendall could tell because she noticed the slight change in her breathing when she did. Cara remained as she was, only readjusting her body slightly to get more comfortable.

Kendall would love to be in Cara's mind at the moment, to know what she thought about the whole situation they'd created. Though that was, unfortunately for her, impossible.

The blonde girl slowly ran her fingertips over Kendall's back where her arm had been resting through the night. The brunette felt an unfamiliar explosion in her gut at the unexpected gesture.
Cara stopped her motions, keeping her hand attached to the fabric of Kendall's shirt which let the warmth of her palm transfer to the brunette's skin.

Cara let out a sigh with her eyes still closed. The feeling of Kendall's breathing against her neck gave her goosebumps. She surprisingly enjoyed the warm air against her bare skin. It seemed to have a relaxing effect on her.

The blonde girl turned her head around to see Kendall's cheek resting against her shoulder. Smiling at the sight subconsciously, she closed her eyes again, letting out another sigh before getting back to her previous position.
