As I sat in the cafeteria with jade, Kim and the other idiots, Alec still absent from our presence, Kim pulled me up out of nowhere and dragged me to the girls bathroom.
"Something has clearly been bothering you all morning. Now talk!"
I couldn't help but flinch a little at her harsh tone but i still held it together.
Telling her what happened yesterday wouldn't be the best option right now so i will have to come up with a lie, and fast.
"Uhm..."
"Don't even go down that road Trish. I can tell you're lying just by the way you started talking. Now, the truth would be appreciated." The stubbornness of Trish can be so aggravating sometimes.
"I... I think I like Josh?"
The second those words left my lips I immediately regretted it because one, Josh is disgusting. Two, I consider him a brother. Three, he's annoying and four, I could and would never like him in that way. It's just impossible.
"You what?!" The look on Kim's face would've had me rolling on the floor with laughter and I might've thrown her over a bridge for actually believing me, but right now, I had to go with what I just said no matter how much it disgusted me.
"Yeah. I kind of... like him. But it's nothing major." Barf was right at the tip of my throat by now.
"Trish, I think we need to call you a hospital, a mental institution, a psychiatrist, you need to get an eye exam and if those feelings are actually real, then i'll advise you kill yourself. Maybe I can do it for you, then I'll kill Josh for somehow making you develop these feelings."
The expression on her face almost made her look dead serious but it's still obvious she wasn't.
"Kim, I think you should go back to the cafeteria. I could really use some alone time to sort out my messed up feelings."
