Air

There is something about the air these days.
I breathe in, out.
Filling my lungs, emptying them again.
A sharp pain erupts from inside of me.

A chill sends shivers down my spine, my bones are shaking.
The unforgiving coat of the deadly cold encases me.
Unmoving, freezing over.

Nature's taking back what's her's, inevitably.
Taking our mortal souls
Reminding us with every winter how the circle of life has to be closed.
