Nature's Trap.
Ben Dunne.
As light pierces the chlorophyll veil,
and sturdy oaken scaffolds creak by breeze,
a large bird swoops, a dominant allele,
down to the understory, down with ease.
The horror and fear instilled from insects,
details influence in the bird's presence,
until it is crushed, by the rival sex,
love of the female, the bird presents.
As the predator falls down as the prey,
affection above affliction, amour.
The lady bird, knows she has him today,
he forgets his forage, he must have more.
With her done distraction, the trap is sprung,
the noose is readied, the rope is pulled, strung.
