Noel felt the last lingering feelings she had for Daniel fading away as he explained everything.
"I know that I don't deserve anything, but I am sorry. I know that you may feel only hate towards me right now. And-"
"I don't feel hate," she calmly stated, "I feel indifference. Not hate."
Daniel nodded in acceptance. "I'll be leaving early, then. I think that I've ruined your night enough." Noel silently nodded as she walked with him to escort him out.
As they approached the door, questions were asked. "Aw, where's your new lover heading to?"
"Uh, I-"
Noel cut him off once again, wanting to put a close on the entire situation. "His family needs him, so he's flying back first thing tomorrow." Everybody said their goodbyes, and Noel slowly closed the door.
Walking back to a guest room, she locked eyes with Harry but couldn't bare to at him for more than a measly second.
He gently grabbed her wrist and she stopped walking. "Are you-"
"Am I okay?" she asked with a tilted smile. "You know me. I'm always okay at this point in time now." She released herself and quickly walked up the steps.
Anne waved Harry over to her spot on the table. "She's clearly not fine, Harry. Be a best friend and go talk to her."
Harry nodded in obedience and followed her path, almost able to visually see Noel's broken pieces.
