(Name) had fallen back into the water at the impact of the case shooting open, and creatures flying out. Newt had ran over and tumbled into the water. His hair matted against his head while he had took his head out of the water and quickly closed the catches and looked around the sky and in the ground. "Two. It has to be around two." He had determined. He pushed his hair off of his face while he rubbed his face clean of the salted water. (Name) was sitting there with her eyes wide and water dripping down her face.

"What, was that." (Name) breathed out, her heart racing out of her chest. Newt looked over at her with a glare. He knew that it was not the girl's fault that the case had opened, but he could not help but be mad at her. "That, was stupid! I said put it down! And, what did you do?!' He was yelling loudly, (Name) cowering slightly. His mouth was wide open, ready to continue yelling. But, then he froze. He saw the terror on her face, the same terror and cowering that he saw when he had obliviated her. His eyes soften and his heartbeat slowed back to normal.

He hesitantly had crouched down to (Name), setting his free hand comfortingly on her shoulder while his case rested on his knees, above the water. The girl looked at him with a sorry and guilty face. Newt sighed and moved his hand up to her cheek, rubbing his thumb over it in an old habit. (Name) did not mind it, leaning her head onto his hand. "Look, I need to find my creatures. I need to find them fast. I swear I'll tell you everything." Newt's voice was soft and sincere, something that no one usually had heard from him.

"Okay." (Name) agreed, slowly standing up and ringing out her clothes to the extent that she could. Newt saw that she was soaked, and he realized that he was in fact, also completely soaked. It was late and the girl must be tired, he had guessed. He sighed and stood up, his clothes almost dragging him back down. "May we go to your place for the night? It's too late to begin the search." Newt said, partially in a lie. It was late, but he could manage. He knew that the girl would have more trouble, though.

"..Sure." She was hesitant to agree, but she did. She began walking home, with Newt following her.

He didn't want to be back with her like this.
