"I don't see Tim here." (Name) had said.

"Tom, not Tim." Newt corrected before he began stripping off his long blue coat. The girl's eyes had widened before she had hesitantly spoke out. "What are you doing?" She had stuttered just before Newt had tossed his coat to the side and unbuttoned the top buttons to his white shirt. A blush was faintly apparent in the sunset as she had watched him. Newt had looked at her and tilted his head to the side.

"I'm going to climb the tree, of course." He had said as if the fact had been obvious. A slight grin had faded onto his face. Her face burned brighter for thinking that he was doing something other than climbing the tree. Newt, though, expected her reaction and he was purely amused. He had been grinning as he had looked at her for a moment before finally beginning to climb the tree. (Name) had watched him from below, her heart slightly pounding.

"Now, (Name). I'm going to try to chase Tom out of the tree, so I'm warning you that he will jump out at you." Newt had slightly shouted once he had been near the top of the tree. (Name)'s face had drained of color. A few grunts could be heard as Newt had continued climbing up the tree, slightly panting as he had done so. "So- make sure to put your hand out in front of you, palm up. Stretch it out as far as you can." Newt had commanded before he had began shaking the branches and rustling the leaves on the tree. The girl had obeyed the odd man, sticking her arm straight out with her palm facing upwards. She had swallowed nervously.

After a couple minutes of rusting and and some snaps, a small little screaming sound could be heard, extremely soft but extremely high pitched. A small, green and almost sticklike creature had lunged out of the tree and onto the girl's palm. It had tightly hung on while she had tensed up with her eyes widening. "Newt?!" She had shouted while she had somehow managed to hold her arm even farther away from herself. Newt had rushed down the tree with branches snapping and leaves rustling and falling. The girl was frozen, staring at Tom wide-eyed. "Newt!" She looked away and shoved her hand towards him. "Take it!" She had whined and waved her hand.

Newt had taken Tom off her hand, a soft chuckle escaping his mouth. (Name) had finally looked over at Newt, goosebumps still adorning her soft skin. She had gasped slightly as she had looked over Newt,   taking in every scratch that painted his face and the soft rips in his shirt. "Newt.. are you okay?" She asked while she had walked closer to the male. He had been nodding as he set Tom into his case, a soft exasperated sigh managing it's way out of his lips. "I'm fine." He had managed to mutter out before bringing his fingers to his cut cheek.

Red coated his fingers.

"We need to go home!" She had said, taking his blood covered hand into hers. He had looked back to (Name), his eyes slightly wide. He had nervously swallowed, his eyes falling to the ground while his lips had pursed. He had laced his fingers with hers, and for some unknown reason, (Name) didn't move her hand away. "Is it a full moon tonight?" Newt asked, looking at her. The girl had softly shook her head, answering back honestly towards him.

With that, Newt let her lead him home.
