For a look of Rose, I chose Jemima West She's how I pictured our star :)
CHAPTER ONE
Roselyn didn't know what the buzz was about. As she was walking toward her Biology class, people around her were talking of the same subject, the cause of everyone's frenzy - there's a new kid in school. Sure, people were coming in and out of J. Helson High School ever since, but it have never caused an alarm as this one.
She walked inthe classroom and sat down on her usual seat, at the desk in the back of the room, where she could hear the teacher clearly, but avoided being looked at. She took out her notebook and book, ready for class.
People started coming in the room, gossiping with each other as they took their seats. She couldnt help but listen to what they were talking about. As usual, it was about the newcomer.
"Did you see him?"gushed Amanda Howards, her hands dancing with excitement as she explained to her friend. "I mean, he just came like straight down from Heaven!"
"That's nothing. I sat beside him in Geometry!" her friend squeeled in delight. "And he's just goddamn gorgeous! I can't think straight the whole hour!"
Roselyn rolled her eyes at both of them, and put her down on her desk, clearly to muffle out the noise that was already getting on her nerves.
She felt a hand slip around her waist, and pull her closer, making the desk move. She jumped up and saw Jackson Newman pulling her close to him, wearing that annoying smirk of his.
"Hi Rose," he said, grinning at her, tightening his grasp around her waist. Annoyed, she took his hand and flung it away. She hated it whenever he tried to touch her. She made it clear already for the last four years. "Someone's in a bad mood today, huh?"
"Shut up, Jackson," she said curtly, moving her chair as far away from him as possible. Jackson is the the school's famous football quarterback, Mr. Popular, and the guy every girl wants to have. But he was a huge player, off like some half-crazed dog looking for his mate. But recently, he had changed his ways, and people know why. That's when he started chasing after her.
It's not like Jackson wasn't good-looking. He was beyond gorgeous, she thought. He had that tall, muscular built, a result from being in the team for years. His black hair kept untidy, like he has just gotten out of bed, but what was striking in him were his dark blue eyes, like the night sky. Girls couldnt help but just fall for him when he releases the full force on them.
She just hated his snobbish attitude and pride, making him undesirable for her. As if she would easily fall in his arms, she thought darkly. This has been going on for years, and every time Rosalyn pushes him away, Jackson would get even more encouraged. He always did like a challenge.
Jackson pushed his hair back from his face, causing a few girls beside us to sigh. He looked rather pleased with that. “Rose, come on. I don’t like you being like this. What about the other night when it happened?” he said.
Her cheeks began to burn with embarrassment. The nerve of him to even bring it up! she thought. She kept her voice steady as she stared at the lines of her notebook. “Nothing happened last Saturday.”
“What? You can’t say that. Man, I should have you like that always. I like it.” he licked his lips at the memory, making her blush even brighter. “You being drunk and all. That’s where I knew that you’re not the good girl I think you are. You got some dirty side in their, Rose.” He poked her side.
Rose scooted even farther away from him. As much as possible, she tried to forget what happened at Jackson’s party last Saturday. He held it in Glass Hour, Greenview’s famous club. Everyone in the senior class came, and even a few juniors. Her bestfriend, Hazel Knight, towed her there, even if she was invited. She really didn’t want to go, especially since it was Jackson’s party, but Hazel made her budge. It went out fine, until she started drinking. She didn’t know how drunk she became that night, and she vaguely remember dancing with him and making out with him in the bathroom.
