A/N:  I just want to share some side stories while I'm continuing the next chapter. :)

This is just for fun. You could skip this and move on. Okay. Here it goes!

Oh. By the way, Stella's the one talking here.

Side Story 1: My Mom's Love

Clan and I went to shopping with Uncle Frank. He's not related to us by blood or anything. He's just our Mom's friend. Actually it's more than that... They're soul mates. Clan and I asked why when we were younger but Mom said she'd explain when we get older. After a few years, I asked my Mom.

"What's with you and Uncle Frank, Mom?"

"I told you honey, we're soul mates," she said gently.

I rolled my eyes. "C'mon mom. Clan and I know that it's more than that. What? Are you like, cheating on Dad with Uncle Frank?"

"Seriously, Stella... How could you think of that?" my mom said outrageously.

"It's because it looks like you're more than you know... Close friends."

My mom sighed. "Okay then... I'll tell you what happened."

I sat up attentively.

"He and I were neighbors," my mom began. "We were really close ever since we were kids. We went to the same school. He's really into football and I'll always be there every time he has a game. We would hang out and have "friendly" dates. I was a nerd and he's really sporty so everybody can't believe that we're actually friends... Close friends for that matter."

"So he's like really popular and you're a loser?" I asked.

"We don't really care about how popular or whatever you are in those days. Okay so on our senior year, he asked me out. He's really close to me and I didn't think that he likes me more than friends. I was confused after his confession so I decided to avoid him for a few weeks. I told him I loved him ever since so we became a couple. We went to the same college and we became campus sweethearts. Many girls fell for him and many guys asked me out too. But since we were really into our relationship, we never broke up."

"So when did Dad entered the equation?" I asked.

My mom laughed. "Okay. Wait for it. Your Dad was so hot and smart at that time... Until now. But the problem was he wasn't aware of that. So many girls confessed to him. But then he turned all of them down. It was because he thinks they're just joking. He also wants to be in a serious relationship and not just the one-night-stands kind of relationships."

This story is getting interesting.

"One night, he got caught up in a fraternity initiation. He insisted that he's got nothing to do with it but since he can't prove he's innocent, he's on probation. The dean asked me to watch him closely since we're in the same classes. Frank thought I was cheating on him with your Dad so your Uncle Frank and I broke up."

She continued. "Zachary, your Dad, became my crying shoulder and my comfort person after that. Since Frank and I were always together, I didn't get the chance to meet new friends. Zachary and I became close. We did our school work and home work together. We go to the cafeteria together every day. We hang out during holidays. He spent Thanksgiving and Christmas in your grandparents' house. That was something Frank never had the chance to have."

I looked at her. "Well... What happened?"

"Frank wanted for us to be together again and we did. But then... The sweetness and chemistry wasn't there anymore. And then Zachary began to avoid me. After a few weeks, I confronted him and he confessed that he liked me ever since the first day of college. He just can't tell it to me because he wants to keep our friendship. That made me think. I broke up with Frank and went after Zachary. I confessed that I liked him too... I even remembered that it was snowing that time and I ran after him in my pajamas and with no shoes or whatsoever... He was about to ride the bus when he saw me. I thought he's gonna turn me down because he was rumored to be going out with another girl that time. But it was just a stupid rumor that spread. He hugged me and then he made me wore his coat and scarf. After a few years of being a couple, he proposed to me. I said yes and then you and your brother came and the rest is history."

"But I thought you loved Uncle Frank more than Dad," I said.

"Well... That was before. Stella, remember this... It is easy to fall in love. You just have to open your eyes to see how a person loves you too. If you love someone but he doesn't love you back, make him see what he's missing but if he doesn't really love you, it's time to look for another one."

I gaped at her like she was Confucius and she's telling me the way of life.

She looked at me weirdly. "And besides, Frank has green eyes and his hair's brown. It's a good thing that I married Zachary... Or else you and your brother won't look as attractive as you are now."

I rolled my eyes at her and she just laughed.
