humans live through emotion
but she didn't have any-
her who was as complex as the stars and the seasons in the night sky.
but she didn't have any-
her who looked at people through the small lens of the telescope.
but she didn't have any-
her who found beauty in the smallest, most intricate designs nature had left out for her.
but she didn't have any-
her who lost a father and a friend and a cousin and her grandparents.
but she didn't have any!
she exclaimed in the darkest of nights as the stars burned out, their neon fixtures forgetting to light the way.
and yet, there she sat, curled up in the corner, crying waterfalls
and shivering down wonderwalls.
because even robots know that human beings
need to feel one day.
