"Still as quick as ever, aren't you?" Erwin chuckled slightly.
I gave him a tight smile, "I try to be. The last thing I need you to be aware of is that the walls.. The walls consist of Titans, which is why they don't crack. They're most likely Titan shifters, which is why the Colossus Titan is only targeting the gates. You should know who the Colossus Titan and Armored Titan are. I have a feeling they have more friends than they know. They're banished here and trying to earn their right back into the society they come from. The only people who know of the Titans inside of the walls are the monarchy and the Wallists. The Military Police is also monitored by the government, so we can't trust any seniors there. I assume that you know who the Colossus and Armored Titans are?" I gave him a knowing stare and continued, "If you're going to carry out the operation, you can only trust the ones who've proven their innocence."
"And how do I know you're not innocent?" He muttered.
"You really think I would fall into corruption? I hate the higher-ups as much as Levi does. I mean, they're the ones who did this to me." I touched the golden-colored medical patch on my right eye.
"It's ironic." Erwin stated.
"How so?"
"You can convince others to trust you so easily, but you have the hardest time trusting others."
I bit my lip, "How did you know?"
"It's obvious. You have this mask on you that you'll never be able to take off, even if you tried to the best of your abnormal abilities. Even now, I know you're hiding a few sensitive topics somewhere in that head of yours."
"Erwin, you've been analyzing me this whole time, haven't you?"
"You've gotten easier to read, Tempest."
"I could say the same." We exchanged uneasy smiles, "We should hurry to the dining hall, Levi hates it when we're late."
"Agreed."
We left our spots to discuss the operation.
"Tempest, you understand that Levi would give up his status for you? He'd be more than willing to step down and let you take over once again."
I shook my head. "I've thought about this a lot, but I'd like to only acquire the rank of Squad Leader. For one, my members would hate to all part and have a new leader. We're like a small family. And you know how hard I worked for this kind of team." I smiled at the thought.
"Really? Are you sure?"
"Yes. I'm confident. Levi is more fit to be Lance-Corporal right now. We're not on our A-game anymore. I sound old, but it's true. Plus, there's less pressure on me then." I sighed.
"I respect your decision, but you will play a crucial role in the operation."

"They're... They're all dead?!" I heard Naomi scream, "If you knew they were incompatible, then why?! You're better than this Levi!"
"And... why do you get to live and they don't? Heck, you're Lance-Corporal. What were you thinking?" Axel scolded angrily.
"It's Corporal Levi to you. You're no longer the superiors here, remember that. 'Incompatible'? Where's Mori now?"
I flung open the doors. Levi took a sip of his tea. My teammates were all sitting down, Hanji just looking confused.
"I apologize we're so late." I said calmly.
"Tch. Took you long enough. I thought you were trying to take a shit, but the shit wouldn't come out."
"Levi, when did you develop this sense of humor?" I noticed the way he held his cup, a huge grin made way.
"He's been holding it like that ever since you left." Hanji commented.
I squealed like a little girl, "Levi~! You're adorable!" I was about to fling myself at him, but instead I hugged the floor. Levi had pushed his chair back.
"No fair." I muttered, getting up and brushing the dust off my clothes. I saw him flinch at the dirtiness.
"Who... are you?" A blonde kid with big blue eyes asked.
My child. I thought, "The name's Tempest. I have irregular mood-swings. Also, these two used to be my students." I pointed at Levi, who was taking another sip of his tea, and Hanji, who was just staring at me in awe.
"I can't believe you're back. You haven't changed a bit." Hanji gawked. "Tempest used to be the Lance-Corporal when Erwin took over, and she served before Levi and I joined."
"Wait a second... how old are you then?" The same recruit asked.
The room was deathly silent as I stared at the table.
"Wait, I'm sorry, I didn't mean to be rude or anything... You don't have to tell!" He said nervously.
"No, it's all right. I am...." I trailed off then started strongly, "Levi's age!"
They gaped. "Hold on, then how old is..." Levi looked up from his tea with an ice-cold glare.
