"Now that we know that you can't harden your body, the next step is clear. We go after the Wallists to find out why they're the only ones who know about what's inside the walls, and find out why the Reiss family are the only ones who know about secrets even the king doesn't know about." Hange said, staring straight at me, "Unless there's already someone that knows."
I glanced around, got up making sure nobody was coming or in front of the door, then sat back down on the bed next to Levi. "All right. To keep it short, the Reiss family is actually the real royal family." I sighed, shrugging and putting my two hands up.
Everyone stayed silent, processing. Then, of course, "What?!" From everyone except for Levi.
"Wait, so you're saying I'm..." Historia's eyes came to life.
"Yes. This is one of the reasons why we have to keep you and Eren safe." I nodded.
"Why didn't you tell us sooner?!" Eren asked.
"I don't fully trust anyone. I just trust you all more than the ones downstairs." I answered him.
"Why?" Hange questioned.
"Well for one, I've known Levi since forever, and I don't believe he'll go tell the MPs. He hates them." Levi gave me a dull stare, "Hange, you're close with Erwin. If he were to appoint someone to his status, it would be you. Plus, I don't sense any type of greed inside you. Like you've stated, you just want peace." Her eyes widened at my remark, "Historia, I just believe you have the right to know. You've been through a lot, and your best friend just left you. I know how that feels. But don't let that authority get to you, you're still on the run. If you revealed your identity to someone, they'd kill you on the spot." She nodded. "Mikasa, you're prime objective is to protect the ones you love. That is, Eren. Eren has good judgement, and won't go off tattling to the interior MPs. If he doesn't do it, why should you? Would it benefit you two to tell them that Historia Reiss is a princess? That would get you two killed for being an accomplice, and because you know too much." They all understood.
"And you learned all of this from infiltrating the government?" Levi asked.
"Yes. I even achieved a high social status. I know everyone, and can get anything just by using persuasion."
"Amazing." Hange said in awe.
"Tch."

"Has everyone read it?" Levi asked, watching the recruits huddle over the piece of paper.
"Captain Levi, what is this?!" Armin panicked.
"Instructions from Erwin." He burnt the whole paper into ashes using the candle in the middle of the table. "Do you trust him? Those dumb enough to say yes... come with us." I stood behind Levi, my arms crossed. They all nodded, gathering their meager belongings and headed out. When we reached the top of a hill, we saw that men had gathered around our hideout with torches. We held our rifles close, staying alert.
"That was close." Alastair said, looking down at the men nearing our cottage.
"What would've happened to us if we stayed one more night..." Connie trailed off.
"Captain Levi, are those interior MPs?" Armin asked.
"Beats me. I can't imagine that they'd act all the way out here." Levi answered.
"Let's hurry to the rendezvous point, good thing the moon's out tonight." I read Levi's mind.
~~Time Skip - Trost District~~
We walked through the town, my squad and I's hoods up while the rest of the group had theirs down. We kept ours up to make sure rumors don't spread.
