"Looks like we're out of plates. Since you're finished, do you think you could fetch some more?" John asked.

"Sure, the storage room, right?" I answered.

"Yeah, that's the one. Thanks."

I made my way down to the storage room, silently walking down the halls. My footsteps echoed throughout the stone base, and I sighed inwardly. A tall, blonde-haired man slipped into the room right when I turned the corner. Farlan? What's he doing down here?

I snuck my way to the entrance, listening in on their conversation. "I can't find it anywhere. I don't think it's in his office."

"Then where do you think it is?" Isabel muttered.

"If you were Erwin, where would you hide something precious?" Levi's voice sounded.

What are they planning? What do they want from Erwin? It couldn't possibly be that document he told me about.. could it? I peeked through the opening, and seeing that their attention was focused elsewhere, I slipped inside and ducked behind a pillar with crates.

"I've decided something." Levi said, "I'm going on the expedition on my own. You guys fake an illness to get out of it."

"What?!" Isabel protested, "Why do you want us to stay behind?"

"Yeah. Levi, we're your friends." Farlan argued.

"We don't know how Titans think or move. It's best if I'm alone."

"So you're saying we're dragging you down." Isabel hissed, "You don't trust us!"

"Tch. Think what you like. You're not going." Levi walked off towards the entrance with the two following close behind.

Oh crap. He's gonna see me. I shimmied over to the side of the pillar facing away from the entrance. Thankfully, they didn't notice me.

I should probably follow them, they're most likely traitors at this point. They're obviously looking for something.

I trailed them up to the roof of the stone base. They all sat along the edge, their feet dangling off.

"Even on the surface the sky's the same." Levi grumbled.

"No it's not!" Isabel said, pointing at the sky, "We know there's no rock above our heads. We can see the full sky, knowing that nothing confines us."

"The air is clearer here and there's beautiful scenery." Farlan sighed in contempt. Levi looked up.

"So? Will you let us go?" Isabel asked.

He stared at the sky for a few moments, "All right."

"Woohoo! Farlan, Big Bro's pretty hard to convince, eh?" Isabel cheered. This brought a smile to Levi's face. A smile. I felt my heartbeat quicken. This guy has a heart?

It's like they're a small family on their own. I bit my lip, not sure what to do. I had stopped at the doorway, catching Levi's eye. Oh crap. I pressed my back against the wall, hoping that he didn't see me. I held my long, light blonde hair away from the doorway. It was tainted at the tips with Titan blood.

"We should head back in." Isabel yawned, getting up. Her foot slipped, and at that moment I darted out of cover and snatched her hand as she fell. Don't ask how quick I am on my feet. Levi and Farlan had no time to react.

"What the hell are you guys standing there for? Help me haul this dumbass up!" I clutched her hand as they grabbed her other. Together, we pulled her up.

"Agh.." She groaned, sitting on the floor, "I honestly thought I was gonna die there. My life flashed before my eyes."

"You're an idiot! Why did you sit there in the first place?!" I screwed her hair up. Levi dully stared at me, while Farlan gazed in amazement.

"You're quick." He said with a smile, holding out his hand, "Farlan."

"Yeah. I know. Tempest." I shook it.

"Tempest, thanks for saving me. I owe you a lot!" Isabel grinned at me.

"How about not sitting on the edge of a huge building again?"

"Can't promise you that, but I'll try."

"You're so stubborn."

"Isabel, Farlan. Head inside, I want to talk with Tempest alone." They nodded quickly, walking away as if it was nothing. "How long have you been watching us?" Levi's eyes narrowed.

"Since, 'I can't find it.'" I said, telling the truth, "And you can't shut me up. Just so you know, there's a knife in my boot. I doubt you'll reach it first." I walked away, entering the hall.

"Tch." He slammed me against the wall. My heart skipped a beat. Levi's face neared mine, "How cute. You're blushing."

I felt my face grow warmer, "I swear, this is sexual harassment."

"You're not telling anyone."

I fell silent, staring into his eyes. I broke away, toning down my face, "Like hell I will." I pushed him back, stomping off. Little did I know, what I was about to do would kill his spirit.
