>>Hello fellow readers! So this chapter marks the 13th day of the Christmas Countdown! I know this is a long flashback, but it reveals more of their past. Last chapter was particularly long, mostly because I needed to make chapters longer. I'm sorry that I post my chapters at like 1 or 12 a.m., which I really need to stop. Today I was busy, but tomorrow and on I should be fine. Is Hanji a boy or a girl? Well, I'm making her a girl. Anyways, that's all I have to say, so enjoy reading!<<

I crept closer to Levi's room, my fingers wrapped around a box. I felt as if I were violating someone's privacy, being in the men's section of the dorms. I made it to his door, placing the box, with a card, down in front of it. My heartbeat quickened, and before I hesitated, I knocked on the door obnoxiously as I could. After, I ran behind the wall separating the rooms and the main hallway. An annoyed Levi emerged from the room, only to find no one in sight.

He spotted the box below his feet, "Tch, what's this?" He picked it up. Inside was the tea Earl Grey. The card was signed with multiple soldier's names, the ones who made it back from the expedition. People like, Hanji, Naomi, Alastair, Axel, and even Erwin. Well, maybe I forged his signature, but I doubt Levi would see the difference. And of course, I signed my name at the bottom. Beside each of their names they put something that he should improve on, or words of encouragement.

To: Levi Ackerman

We felt pity for you. Your welcome.

Naomi Reyes ~ Hit the bull's-eye, no matter what. If you don't, the bull will hit you.

Axel Payne = Levi, you have strong emotions, but you're not strong enough to hide them.

Alastair Blackwood: Always keep alert, the reason they died was because of your ignorance.

Hanji Zoe <3 Every Titan has their own story, and I can't wait to share them with you!

Erwin Smith -  No more arguing in front of my office.

Everyone else signed their names and quotes, and finally he got to my name.

Tempest > Inside the box is Earl Grey. Have fun with your last day of freedom, because I'm going to break you for weeks to come. Further details may be gauged out of Hanji. Be ready at 3:00 A.M. by tomorrow.

From: Your Comrades

As I saw him close the letter, I turned around and walked down the hall to my room.

"You think I should be thankful for this? Happy?" I heard Levi say. That ungrateful bastard.

I pivoted on my heels, marching back to his room like a mad man. I met him at the corner, giving him a glare. We stood there for a good solid minute, just madly staring into each other's eyes. He backed me into a wall, putting an arm above my head. Levi's face grew nearer until I could feel his breath on my lips.

"You blush every time I do this. Got a little crush?"

"How dare you accuse me of such a crime."

"Tch. What's with this box and sympathetic card?"

"Many people heard your sobs through the door. It was quite annoying, so we decided to cheer you up just to shut you up. Nobody wants to bunk with you, and we need the space."

"After yesterday's expedition? Please. We have a lot of space."

"Unlike your heavy heart. Dammit Levi, what are these on your wrist?" I gripped his arm and shoved it into his face. "Hurting yourself doesn't give you pleasure. It gives you physical pain and flaws. Stop being such a suicidal maniac." I kneed him in the stomach right as he threw a punch at me.

"You don't know-,"

I interrupted him, "How it feels? It's not only you who do these kinds of things. The world doesn't revolve around you and your soap opera." I got into a fighting stance. We fought in the hallway, dishing out our hidden emotions. Somehow, we ended up with me on top of him, holding his collar up to my face. Our sleeves were rolled up, and we both had our jackets off. I heard a whistle come from the beginning of the hallway.

"Did we interrupt something?" I heard a smirk in Axel's voice. I looked up, releasing Levi.

"A-Axel!" I stammered.

"I didn't know someone could match you with combat." Alastair commented.

I laughed nervously, standing up and dusting off my clothes. I grabbed my jacket and pushed past the two.

"Good night." I muttered.

~~~~~~~~~~Present Day~~~~~~
We stood gazing at the giant rock of crystal encasing Annie's comatose body.
"Nothing can break this." I murmured, but then a thought struck me. "Hanji!" I zipped over to her, gripping her shoulders.
"What?" She asked, completely oblivious to my idea.
"Perhaps Eren... perhaps Eren could harden his whole body to seal the breaches in Wall Maria, considering the fact that there is probably zero large boulders lying around."
Hanji's eyes widened at my sudden idea, "Y-yes! That could work. We just need to run a few experiments and-,"
"Stop getting your hopes up." Levi growled in his fancy suit, holding a bit of his jacket over his left arm. "Did you see Eren battling Annie in his Titan form? He lost all control due to his emotions. I doubt he could concentrate enough to harden his whole being."
"Well, maybe you could teach him." I turned my sight towards Levi. Hanji crept back, predicting how this would turn out. "I mean, you have a lot of experience in that field, don't you, Levi?"
He met my steady gaze, "Then you teach him. I mean, you also have a lot of experience in that field. Not to mention, the 'government infiltration'. You definitely had to filter that mouth of yours. I could just imagine."
I stepped closer to him, "From what I heard, you didn't lose your cool during the Female Titan attack on the recent expedition. I could only imagine how much it took you to keep them in check. I thought Petra liked you." He gave me this terrifying death glare that could kill a thousand Titans. I pressed the wrong button.
"Oh yeah? I guess it didn't take you too long to abandon us five years ago. That took a lot of emotions right? Or did it? Did you ever consider how we would feel? God, I thought the only place I'd see you was in heaven. Don't hide from me. What are these?" Levi grabbed my wrists and shoved my shirt up to my stomach, revealing a thousand scars. Damn it.
"Naomi told me. What really happened there, Tempest?" He questioned. I heard Hanji gasp in the background. The surrounding soldiers froze, unwilling to take their eyes off the scene. "I thought physical injury was a flaw and unnecessary." Levi pressed his forehead against mine as I gritted my teeth, "What happened to the blushing? It's like you've lost the innocence you once cherished."
"Levi. Let. Go. Innocence? I'll tell you what happened to innocence. I shoved her out the back door, relieving the other personalities. She took over too much. I decided to kick her out five years ago."
"Then with her, with us." Levi released my wrists, "We're done."
