💔Unknown Point of View💔

When I came to, my head was throbbing bad. I took a look at my surroundings and it seemed that I was in a hospital, but why?

"Ah! I see you're awake!" Someone said as I heard the door close. It was a doctor.

"Hi! I am Doctor Song Jihyo." the doctor greeted.

"Nice to meet you miss." I grimaced. "What happened?"

"You were in a very bad accident about a 5 days ago and have been in a coma ever since." Dr. Song replied.

"Oh." I said, suddenly remembering the accident. "Where is my father?"

Dr. Song replied, "He just left to go to the cafeteria down in the basement ten minutes ago. He should be back shortly."

While we were waiting, the doctor did some basic reflex and eye movement tests on me to make sure everything is okay.

"Is it alright if I come in?" I heard a voice ask.

"Yep! I'll give you guys a few minutes and then I'll be back to give you an update sir." Doctor Song explained.

"Son," my father said, his voice becoming immediately stern, "We're going to the states, in 2 days. There's nothing you can say about it either. With the trouble you caused me to all of a sudden leave an important business meeting to fly 13 hours all the way here, is unexceptable!" His voice resonated all over the room.

"Father! I don't want to leave Korea! Everyone who cares about me are here! I can't just leave them!" I protested.

"Yes, you can!" he shouted back in anger. "All because of this accident, I just lost a million dollar deal with a huge company that we desperately needed partnership with! A million dollars went down the drain because of you!"

I started to cry. I started to cry out of anger, because of my father blaming me for losing his money, that he thinks is more important than my safety. I also cried out of sadness, because mother would not want this to happen and that I'll have to leave my true love behind for who knows how long.

"Ever since mom died 2 years ago, you've been so absorb into work that you didn't even bother to pay attention to me! Instead, you paid attention to money! It's like work is more important than family to you!" I shouted back.

"YOU TAKE THAT BACK YOUNG MAN! You're mother would not appreciate your tone." my father had shouted even louder.

"Why should I?" I laughed in a sardonic tone. "YOU WERE TOO BUSY TO EVEN NOTICE THAT MOTHER WAS DYING! I TRIED CONTACTING YOU, BUT YOU NEVER PICKED UP FOR ONE WEEK STRAIGHT!"

Right when father was about to shout something back, we heard a few knocks on the door and the doctor walked in.

"Alright!" Doctor Song exclaimed. "Mr. Park, here are the papers you need to sign for an early release you requested. Now, your son will need to be careful for the next few weeks. He did hit his head pretty hard, but there seems to be nothing wrong, we just want him to be careful. He might need to take some ibuprofen since migraines are a side affect from waking up from a coma."

Father signed all the papers, not caring to read them at all. Dr. Song looked back and forth at us, sensing the heavy tension between us. Father just silently handed the papers back to the Doctor.

She checked through all the papers quickly then told us that there will be a nurse shortly to help take all the needles and other medical things out of my arms. After the nurse is done, I can pack to leave then my father will need to sign a few more papers at the front desk.

"You're lucky that you get to stay in Seoul for two days before we fly to America. If I didn't need to finalize anything here, we would already be in the air." My father explained quietly as he drove back to our house.

"Yeah yeah yeah." I replied feeling extremely exhausted. "I just want to be at home already."

"Jimin, this is for the good of you." my father explained. "This will be good for you. You will realise that one day."
