Our first story for the month of December! :D
Updates will be slow (Well, slow-er than they have been lately) due to the holidays, but don't worry! We have new ideas for when we do write again :)
Enjoy!
"Breathe Tom, breathe... it's not that big of a deal..." I tried comforting Tom for the third time today.
"Just calm down, Tom." I whispered, and it seemed it was finally working. Tom's horns and tail were no longer visible and the blackish-purple color was fading from his skin.
"What got you so worked up this time, Tom?" I asked once it seemed he could talk again.
"It's stupid..." Tom murmured, turning away.
"...It's getting worse, isn't it?" I asked, and Tom froze. It was true; Tom's transformations started with him getting extremely angry, but now they were caused by basically anything.
"...I poured the cereal before I realized we were out of milk." Tom finally admitted, and I sighed.
Luckily, that seemed to be the last event of the day, for it was nine right now and Tom seemed fine. All four of us were on the couch when the doorbell rang.
"Not me."
"Nope."
"It's Matt's turn."
Matt groaned and got up to answer the door.
"Uhhh, who are you?" I heard a few seconds later. Looks like I'd have to get up and see.
"It's me! Tord?" A muffled voice came, and all three of us froze. Then everyone was crowded around the door.
"...Tord?" Edd asked, staring at the devil himself before us.
"ello, Edd!" Tord said, pushing past Tom (who was blocking the door) and letting himself in.
"What are you doing here?" Tom spat at Tords back, but the Norwegian wasn't paying attention.
"What brings you here, Tord?" I asked him, testing out the name. I had never seen him before, but from the accounts I had heard, he didn't seem like a good guy™.
"I'm moving back in!" Tord announced, and I glanced at Tom from the corner of my eye. While Edd seemed quite happy and Matt confused (as usual), but Tom was silently fuming.
"Hey, Tom, can I talk to you?" I asked, not waiting for a response as I dragged him into the kitchen, away from the group.
"You need to calm down." I said, and Tom had a look I couldn't quite place. "I can tell you're about to transform, so just breathe-"
"Wait, I need to calm down?!" Tom yelled, taking me off guard. "Are you serious? As if commie coming back wasn't bad enough, now you're on his side. Great."
"Wha- no! I am by no means on his side. I'm just trying to help you-"
"Well maybe I don't need your help." Tom hissed, and then he was out the door.
I didn't care about the stares of the other three guys as I raced out the door after him, Tord forgotten.
"TOM!" I called out into the night, not being able to see anything. I turned towards the lights of the city, wondering if he headed that way.
