We want to apologize in advance to Dragonkid42 (who requested this story.) Since neither Isa nor I knew about brentalfloss, we weren't sure about his personality, etc. But we hope we made a good story without being too cheesy :)
We hope you enjoy anyways!~
"Brent, wait up!" I called out in front of me. He knew the way to the coffee shop; I didn't.
"Hurry up, (Y/n)!" Brent called in response, nearing the tiny cafe in the distance. It was a good thing the streets weren't crowded today, otherwise I would've lost him in the crowd.
When we were finally in the shop and had taken a minute catching our breath, we ordered some coffee and sat down at a booth in the corner of the cozy shop.
"So, any particular reason you wanted to take me out to coffee today?" I asked, taking a small sip of my drink, giving time for Brent to answer. He just looked down and then back up at me.
"Uh, we can get to that later. First I just want to enjoy the day." Before I could question further, Brent took a sip of his drink, so I let the subject drop.
"What's next?" I asked Brent, leaving the shop and turning the corner. I decided we were heading to the park, and my suspicions were confirmed when Brent said,
"I'd like to go to the park. It's best a night."
Looking up to the sky, I noticed that the sun was indeed setting. Irving truly was beautiful at night, and as we neared the park more and more stars made an appearance.
Brent began humming a familiar tune.
"Another day of puzzles and human hunting, lying in wait and wanting simply one chance, another day of looking cool in my cape, and generally being great and wearing no pants..."
"You... listen to my songs?" Brent stopped whistling and turned towards me. We were at the empty park now, the dim streetlights illuminating the right side of his face.
"Well, yeah." I chuckled, looking out over the empty grass. "That song is actually one of my favorites." I smiled remembering how I first stumbled on Brent's channel.
There was a comfortable silence for a few seconds.
"Hey..." I turned towards Brent, who was already looking at me. "What were you going to say earlier? When I asked if there was any particular reason we were going out?"
"Oh!" Brent chuckled awkwardly, scratching the back of his neck. "I thought you forgot..." He was looking anywhere but at me.
"Well?" I dragged out the word, urging him on.
"I don't think it's that important..." Brent mumbled, looking over the empty benches and playground in front of us,
"Well, you don't have to tell me, but now I'm curious." I pried a little. Curiosity may have killed the cat, but I didn't care right now.
"(Y/n)," Brent started, but shook his head. I just got more confused.
"No, Brent, it's fine. Seriously." I tried to walk over to a park bench to sit down, but Brent grabbed my wrist.
I turned back to him, silently asking what he was doing. He let go of my wrist, instead grabbing both of my hands.
"Okay, well, there's no backing down now. (Y/n)," Brent said, "I... I love you. A lot. And I was hoping that, by going out today, I could ask you to be my girlfriend?" Brent was the most nervous I had ever seen him before, anxious for my answer. I just stood there, shocked.
Of course it was a yes. I had liked Brent for the longest time- practically ever since I had heard his first song.
"Brent, I- of course!" Brent looked absolutely shocked by my answer, but his face turned to one of delight.
"Wait, really?!" He asked, surprised. It was adorable.
"Of course! I've liked you for the longest time now." I admitted, feeling the blush creep up on my cheeks.
