IMPORTANT!:

The End never happened in this story! All that happened was Tori took her robot and left .3.

Darkness. That's all I could see. It was around one in the morning and I couldn't sleep. Not that I had ever been able to since I left the Red Army.

Every night I've been having flashbacks to when I was still out on the battlefield. Killing mindlessly, the ringing echo of gunshots, blood. A lot of blood. Until one day I just broke.

I just couldn't take it anymore. I had to get away. But I couldn't just get up and walk out the front doors of the Red Army Headquarters. Leaving- or rather, escaping the Army was going to need skill. A particular set of skills.

So what to do? Fake my own death, of course.

I had a few options. And after weeks of planning, I finally decided on one. During one of my weekly missions, I sabotage my plane's engine and crash into the water. But right before the fuel tank explodes, I jump out and use my parachute, landing safely in the water.

I honestly didn't think this through enough; my parachute covered my head when I landed in the water, nearly drowning me. I had to swim to the nearest shore- about a mile away- and from there on out I was officially 'dead.'

I had to look for a place to stay due to the fact the Red Army was the closest thing to family I had ever had. Now that I could no longer call the base home (not that it was ever really home to me) I had to find a new place to live.

I finally managed to find a place that would take me in. It was a group of three girls who actually happened to be childhood friends, and now live in a house together. So I was officially welcomed to live with them, taking the empty guest room down the hall.

And that's where I am now, in my new room with these people I have barely known, unable to sleep due to the haunting memories of senseless killing. But that was the past, and it was behind me now.

    Tori's POV

"Red Leader!" Paula called, slamming open my office doors, Patricia not far behind. I was caught off guard to say the least; all soldiers were taught strictly to knock and await instruction.

"What is it, Paula?" I asked, skipping formalities. There was obviously something wrong.

"Sargent (Y/n)... ma'am, her plane crashed into the North Sea... it burst into flames..." Paula huffed out.

"What?!" I exclaimed, "she was one of our best soldiers! Have you found her yet?!"

    Paula and Patricia were quiet.

"Ma'am... she's probably... dead." Patricia spoke up.

"Have you located a body?" I asked, to which Paula and Patricia exchanged quick glances.
