Chapter 31

Andrew's POV
I was at work in my office and close to the end of my shift and one of the construction workers came in the office
"We have a problem" he said and then the next thing I know, he had a little blonde hair girl with him who looked really scared
"What the heck?" I said and he looked at me
"Sir, she showed up at the sight and We couldn't just let her stay there, it's dangerous, I called the cops and they are trying to find the parents and they said they will meet us here" he said and I just looked at her and walked up to her
"Hey, I'm Andrew, what's your name?" I asked and she got shy and hid her face
"Hey it's okay, don't be scared" I said and she looked at me
"What's your name?" I asked and she spoked up in a soft voice
"Addison" she said
"That's a cool name! How old are you?" I asked and she held up 4 fingers
"Hey my daughter Isabelle is turning 4" I said and she smiled and then the cops came knocking on the door
"Hey" I said and they spoked up
"We tried contacting the parents but they  are no where to found, but they have history of drugs and everything, we can take her to a group home until they figured something out" they said they said and I looked at her and she just looks at me, this little girl doesn't deserve to be put in a group home
"Well she can stay with me and my wife for a few days until you guys figured it out" I said and they took a breath
"Are you sure?" They asked and I nodded
"I know what it's like to be in the system, I don't want this little girl to go that route" I said and they nodded and I looked at her
"Do you wanna come home with me?" I asked and she nodded
"You get to meet my wife Lisa" I said and she spoked up
"Is she nice?" She asked and I smiled
"Very" I said and I reached my hand out
"Come on" I said and she took my hand and we walked to the car and I buckled her in, I honestly have no idea of how Lisa is going to take this, but I do know once she will see this little girl she will fall in love with her, Lisa is a huge softy, well obviously I am too, we got home and I walked in and Addison was behind
"Hey Lise" I said and she walked downstairs
"What's up?" She said
"Don't get mad okay?" I asked and took a breath and spoked up
"I had another kid" I said and showed her Addison and she looked at her and me and she walked up to Addison
"Hey, I'm Lisa, what's your name?" She asked and Addison spoked  up
"Addison" she said softly and Lisa spoked up
"Here you can go play with the kids in the living room" Lisa asked and she nodded and she followed Lisa to the living room  and then Lisa came out and it was just me and her
"So what happened?" She asked
"She was found at one of the construction sites and the workers brought her in, the cops can't get a hold of her parents and they were going to take her to a group home and I couldn't let them do it, so I said she could stay with us a couple days until everything gets settled out" I said and she looks at me and I spoked up
"You're not mad are you?" I asked and she took a breath
"No, I probably would've done the same thing, she's so cute" Lisa said and I smiled
"She seems really scared" I said and she nodded
"Well she is in a house with people she never knew, its gonna take a while" she said and I nodded and we walked in the living room and seen the kids playing, but Addison was still not sure what to think
