Chapter 11

Andrew's POV
I am home sitting with Lisa and the kids having a family movie night, and I get a call from my boss
"It's my boss" I told Lisa and she nodded and I walked out of the living room and answered it
"Hello" I said
"Hey Andrew! How's it going" he asked
"Going good! What's up?" I asked
"So listen, we need someone to go to New York for the company" he said "and I really prefer you to do it" he said and I took a deep breath
"How long exactly is this trip?" I said
"A week!" He said and I took a deep breath
"When?" I asked
"You will leave on Thursday!" He said and I took a breath
"Listen, my daughters birthday is on Thursday" I said and he took a deep breath
"Well, we really need to someone to go" he said and I took a breath
"Fine I'll go" I said
"Great I will book your flight!" He said and hung up and I took a deep breath and then Lisa came out
"So what's going on" she asked and I took a breath
"I have to go to New York for a week, I leave on Thursday" I said and she looked at me angry...oh no..I don't like that look..and she spoked up
"Did you forget that your daughter's  birthday is on Thursday and since when did you start traveling again" she said angry which I don't blame her I took a breath
"You didn't have a problem before" I asked and she gave me a look
"But we didn't have kids before though Andrew, and they need us" she said and I took breath
"You did fine this past week didn't
You?" I said and she looked at me
"Oh yeah, Isabelle teething going on, and you have Ryan who is rowdy who might have ADHD by the way, and also fighting with Jacob! You got Hunter who is in middle of potty training and everything! And Its not easy doing it all at once!" she said and she spoked up
"Listen, when they are older, and more independent, then yes, but they 5, soon to be 4, and 7 months Andrew, did you not put that into any consideration?"  she said and she took a deep breath and then when I spoke up
"I am sorry, what am I suppose to do! Say no! Like I don't even care about the job!" I said and she looked at me
"Uh no, but you can't just say yes to traveling like you did before because you have a family now Andrew! And you know missing hunters Birthday will really hurt her" she said
"She's 3!" I said
"She still gonna be hurt at the fact that you're not gonna be there!" Lisa said and then when I was about to speak
"You missing my birfday?" I heard and me and Lisa both turn to see a sad little hunter and Lisa just looked at me upset, and the looks on Hunters face, i couldn't do it, I went and picked her up
"No I'm gonna miss your birthday" I said and kissed her cheek and I looked at Lisa
"I'll call my boss and cancel" I said and she just looked at me
"I'm gonna get Isabelle ready for bed" as she walked off and I looked at hunter
"Okay go back in the living and sit with your brothers okay?" I said and she nodded and ran back in there and I ended up calling my boss back

"Hello" he answered
"Hey uh listen, about that New York trip, I can't do it, I have my family I need to take care of, I can't keep traveling" I said and he took a deep breath
"Pretty disappointing Mr. James" he said and I took a breath
"Sorry, gotta stay with my family right now" I said and he took a deep breath
"Alright bye" he said and hung up and I took a breath and got the boys ready for bed and as Lisa took care of hunter, that's the first time Hunter ever seen me and Lisa get mad at each other, it's been a while since me and Lisa got in a argument. First time in a while I've actually seen Lisa mad like that too.
