Chapter 28

Andrew's POV
I woke up to sound of someone getting sick in the bathroom, and I noticed Lisa wasn't in bed and I walked to our bathroom
"Babe you okay" I said and she opened the door and she looked really pale
"Babe, here come on" I said as I helped her to the bed and she laid down
"Are you okay?" I asked and she looked at me
"My throats hurts, I'm achy, I'm cold, feverish, I guess you can say I feel like a million bucks" she said sarcastically and I kinda chuckled
"Well, there's no way you can be around the kids today, so I'll call in at work, and I'll stay home with the kids and you stay in here" I said and she looked at me
"Are you sure? I mean it can be tough" she said and I nodded
"I think I can handle my kids" I said laughing and then Micah started crying
"I'll get him" I said and walked in his room
"Hey bud" I said lifting him up and it smelled like he needed a diaper change so I changed his diaper and tried getting him back to sleep and he refused to, and it was like 4:00am
"Micah it's early dude, let's go to sleep" I said and he was giggling and finally after a while he fell back asleep and I laid him down, and I walked back to mine and Lisa's room and she was sound asleep, I accidentally stepped on mittens tail and she meowed really loud
"Sorry mittens" I said as I petted her and Lucy was in her cage downstairs, and I laid back down and fell sound asleep, and I got woked up about 7 to crying and it was Isabelle because she wanted to come out of her room, she hasn't figured out the baby gate, I got up and walked to her and lifted her up, luckily she didn't wake up Hunter, I took her downstairs and let her play with her toys, I took Lucy and let her out and I got breakfast started and I heard footsteps and it was Hunter
"Daddy Micahs awake and is wanting out" she said and I ran upstairs and got Micah out and took him downstairs
"The pancakes are burning!" Hunter yelled and I ran into the kitchen
"Great" I said to myself and the boys came downstairs fighting
"Ryan give me back my marker" Jacob said and they around the table
"Oh you want it, now you gotta get it" Ryan said and I grabbed Ryan
"Give him back his marker if he was using it" i said and Ryan took a breath and walked over to Jacob and handed it back
"Thank you" Jacob said taking it back and ran back upstairs to their room and Ryan looked at me
"I thought mom usually cooks our breakfast" he asked
"Well your mom is sick, so I'm staying home today" I said and he nodded and ran off, I looked at the burnt pancakes and threw them away, how could Lisa cook and watch the kids at the same time! I started cooking again and I actually didn't burn the pancakes this time! Once breakfast was done I got Micah and Isabelle and put them in their high chairs and gave them their food, and hunter, Jacob, and Ryan were eating at their chairs
"Mommy usually put chocolate chips in them" Hunter said and I looked at her
"Well I'm sorry, but this will have to do" I said looking at her and she started pouting
"Ryan quit" Jacob yelled and I looked and seen that Ryan keeps poking Jacob on his sides to make him
"Guys knock it off! Your mom is upstairs sick so no arguing alright" I said looking at them
"He started it" Jacob said
"Well I'm ending it, no more got it?" I said and they nodded and they all ended up finishing their breakfast, Micah and Isabelle both got syrup all over themselves which means I have to clean them up and it got all over their pjs, so I took them upstairs and was getting them dressed
"RYAN!" Jacob yelled and I ran into room
"What's going on!" I said and I seen that Ryan drew all over a picture Jacob drew on his canvas which was music notes and stuff
"Ryan drew all over my picture and I was gonna give it to mom" Jacob pouted and ending up going after Ryan and they started fighting
"Okay break it up" I said as I was separating them
"Now you both get in your beds and stay there! I told you no more" I said and they looked at me angry and I walked out and I seen the where Isabelle was messing with mittens and Hunter was watching cartoons while playing with Micah and I seen where Lucy was at her food bowl
"I take it your hungry" I said and she got excited as I grabbed her bowl and filled it...
"Meow" I heard mittens come up to me and rubbed on my legs
"I take it you're hungry too" I said and grabbed hers and filled it and they were both eating

after a few hours it been calm then around lunch time I made Lisa Chicken soup and took it up to her, she was awake but still feel bad, I never seen her this sick
"How is it going?" She asked and I took a breath
"You're right, it can be tough by yourself" I said she kinda chuckle
"What's going on?" She asked
"Well Micah woke up at 4 this morning, the boys won't stop fighting, Hunter for upset about no chocolate chips in her pancakes" and she laughed
"Okay well I'm sure I will still be sick tomorrow, so here's the thing, Micah has a classic music thing and the thing will put him right to sleep, Hunter, I usually just sprinkle the chocolate chips on and they are in cabinet but she will get over it if not, she will try to refuse to eat but just threaten her with no snacks and for the boys, separate them, let Jacob stay in the room and have Ryan play downstairs or vise versa" she said
"You make it sound so easy, I guess I'm just a lousy father" I said and she just shook her head
"No you're a amazing father, they love you, but They're kids, it happens, I deal with the same thing, you're just not use to being by yourself, but it will be okay" she said and started coughing and I nodded and Micah started crying and she spoked up
"Sounds like little man is hungry, so Isabelle probably is too, and I usually have the kids chill out or nap after lunch" she said and I nodded
"Alright got it, get some rest" I said and walked downstairs and made lunch so I did the same thing I did at breakfast put them in their high chairs and had the others in their chairs and the boys were arguing again
"Okay when lunch is over Jacob I want you upstairs and Ryan I want you downstairs got it?" I said and they nodded and Hunter wouldn't eat
"Hunter eat" I said and she shook her head
"I'm not hungry" she said and I raise my hands
"Fine but no snacks until you eat your lunch" I said and she pouted and once everyone was done with lunch Jacob went upstairs to redraw his thing, hunter and Ryan are watching a movie, and I got Isabelle and Micah asleep, it is starting to get better, hopefully it stays like this the rest of the night
