The frozen four was a lot like the quarterfinals. It all came down to the final moments to find out the winner.
Kayla Messer had the puck in our zone and passed it to Mary Nielson, who carried it into the neutral zone.
Mary passed the puck to her defense partner Chelsea Krieder, who carried it into the opposing team's zone and passed it to Brianna Baker. Baker took the shot and the puck went in the net. We were going to the national championship.
Time skip- the national championship.
Today was the national championship game against Harvard. I was nervous as hell because not only were we playing in the national championship game, but Cody was there. Cody always makes me nervous, and I don't know why.
When the game started Kayla won the face off back to Mary Nielson, who carried it into the Harvard zone. She passed it to Brianna Baker, who wrapped the puck around the boards.
Brittany Colbertson got the puck and took a shot. The puck flew past the Harvard goalie and into the net. We were up 1-0 just like that.
The game came down to the final minute. We were up 2-1, and Harvard pulled there goalie. Anna had the puck in our zone. She fired it down the ice and missed just wide, but I got there in time to negate the icing call. I wrapped the puck around the goal post and it went in. We were now up 3-1.
The final buzzer went off just seconds later.
We just won the National Championship. My teammates and I mobbed Julianne Wilson, our goalie. I couldn't believe what just happened. After so many years we finally returned to glory. The Wisconsin Badgers are the 2016 National Champions.

I am so sorry that I didn't update on Saturday like I said I would. I didn't get home until 5pm eastern time. I was really tired from all the walking I did Friday and Saturday.
