It has been two years since I met Cody, and to say that we are friends is an understatement. He is one of my best friends. I am now a sophomore at the University of Wisconsin. My roommates are my best friend from my hometown Anna Evans; Anna's sister Carrie, who is a Senior; and our senior Teammate Brittany Baker. Brittany is also from my hometown. We all play for the Women's hockey team at our school. Carrie is our starting goalie, Brittany is on our top defensive line, and Anna and I are third line forwards. Anna is a Center and I am a right winger.
Today our coach took us to a hockey game in Raleigh, NC between the Ottawa Senators and Carolina Hurricanes. Everyone on our team was excited because we got to see Andrew Hammond, the goalie that has been tearing up the NHL lately, play. I don't think a lot of us could sleep last night because of how excited we were.
The game was tied at 1 going into overtime. With under 30 seconds left, Kyle Turris got the puck and came down the center. He gave a back-hand pass to Mark Stone, who scores to win the game for Ottawa. We went crazy because the sens are loved by a lot of us.
