I rolled over from my good sleep to see Cordell in the mirror. He straightened his pants and belt and then moved to his dress shirt. "Where are you going looking all sexy?" he looked at me through the mirror, "I have a meeting with a potential investors."

"Didn't know you were looking for new investors."

"If I want to expand my company the way I want then I need to start looking. I don't want to use my money, so if I want to expand I need to get new investors."

"Are you prepared?"

"As prepared as I want to be. I rather go to the doctor's appointment with you."

"I told you I'm good, my mom is coming with mmm. She is so excited to see the baby."

"I understand that but I wanted to see my own baby."

"I know but my mom needs this besides you have almost six months of appointments to go to."

"Then on that note I claim every single one of those, so tell your mother this is the only one she gets to go to." I laughed and spread my arms out. "What about your family?"

"What about them? I put that baby in you not them."

"Whatever you say." I sat up and crawled to him to help him with his tie. "What time is your appointment?"

"It's at one but my mom is stopping by earlier to talk and hang before."

"So you and your mom are getting along more now, huh?"

"Yea we are. I can tell she is really trying to be there for me and be more like a mother. At first I thought it was weird and maybe she wouldn't change, but she is actually trying."

"And you are okay with her being in your life?"

"Honestly I am, I feel like I finally got the mom I have been wanting my entire life. I feel like I can talk to her about anything now that I may go through." He nodded and I finished fixing him up. I loved being able to do these kinds of things with him. No words have to be said, we just enjoy each other's company.

"Don't forget we have to meet with the wedding planner today."

"I completely forgot about that but I will be there."

"Good." He kissed me and then grabbed his things and left along with Sapphire. When I was alone I went to back to sleep.

"Now I know yo ass ain't still in this bed," I heard someone say as they hit me to make me wake up. I stirred and turned around to see my mom's face. "Mom it is too early for this." I pulled the cover over my face to hide. "If you don't get out of this bed right now. I have been calling you for an hour and then I come here and you are still in this bed."

"Mom just let me sleep."

"Sleep later, but right now you only have two hours until your appointment." I groaned as I looked at the clock. I felt like just staying in bed. I threw the covers off of me and went to take a shower. When I was through I came out to see my mom going through my clothes. "What are you doing?"

"Trying to see what's in here I can wear." I shook my head and picked out something to wear. I chose a simple long sleeved black all over stretch dress that stopped in the middle of my legs. I put on my red converse and pulled my hair into a high bun. By the time I got done with my makeup and added my diamond studs it was almost twelve. "Bought time you got done," my mom said when I cam downstairs. "We still have an hour mom gosh."

"Don't gosh me, I want to see my grandbaby."

Before we got to the doctor's office I made her stop and get me an omelet from IHop. We made it there with ten minutes to spare. I signed in and sat down and finished eating my food. "Are you ready for the baby or are you still on cloud nine?"

"I don't know, there's a lot going on from the wedding to the baby, not to mention we still have to move to the new house."

"When are ya'll doing that?"

"Whenever Cordell finishes up his many projects." She laughed. We were soon called and told to wait in a room. I was nervous that I might have to still be on bed rest or something else would be wrong with the pregnancy. I just wanted everything to be okay. "We meet again Ms. Marshall," my doctor said coming in. "So how are you feeling? Anymore pain or cramps?"

"Not since I have been on bed rest and taking it easy."

"Glad to hear that. Now I got your test work back and I think you will be happy to know that you are officially off of bed rest so you can go back to work. The only thing is, your blood pressure is a little high so I need you to watch your diet and exercise. With that, you should be able to control the pressure and help with your stress."

"Other than that, I am fine?"

"You are completely healthy at this point and your pregnancy should continue without a hitch." I sighed and relaxed. I was so worried something else would get in the way. The rest of the appointment she showed and let us hear the baby. Every time I got to see my baby I cried. We got pictures of the baby and then we were done.

Now that the appointment was done I had to meet Cordell with the wedding planner. When I stepped out the door I saw Cordell leaning up against his car on his phone. "Thought you had a meeting?" he looked up, "It finished early so I thought I would come get you so we could go meet the wedding planner." I smiled and let him bring me into him. "I have something to show you."

"What is it?" I took out the picture of our baby and handed it to him. He took it and his whole face changed as he realized what it was. "So that's my son?"

"Or daughter."

"Son." He continued to look at the picture with aww. "And guess what else?"

"What?"

"The doctor took me off of bed rest and said I could go back to work." He looked at me like he didn't like that idea. I know he doesn't want to go back to work but I needed to work. I worked too hard to get to where I am to let it just go. I needed my family and my job.

We said goodbye to my mom and headed to see the wedding planner. She told us to meet her at the botanical garden so I didn't know what was going on. When we got there I saw her standing at the entrance waiting for us. "Glad you two could make it. Now I know you are wondering why I asked to meet you here but since you want an outdoor wedding, I figured this place would be perfect. There are a few spots I want to show you and then you can tell me if this is for you or not." Cordell took my hand as she led us through the garden. Everything was so beautiful I didn't know what to do.

"So what do you think," she asked when she was done. I looked at Cordell and he just shrugged. "Whatever you want I'm good with."

"I think this place is exactly what I want. Everything about this place screams my dream wedding."

"In that case I will book the spot you want for your wedding day and we would be able to check venue off the list. Do you have wedding dress?"

"No, I went looking but nothing stood out to me."

"Well how about we have a designer make you one? They could take in what you want and make the dress especially for you."

"You could do that?"

"Being a wedding designer has its perks. I know some people, I will contact the one I think you will be happy with." I was kind of excited to be able to have my dress made by a designer but I was still worried it might not be the one. Before we ended the meeting we discussed the food that will be served and the caterer.

"So you happy," Cordell asked as we laid on the bed. "As happy as any girl can be that's about to get married to her prince charming."

"Prince charming's save people, you saying I saved you?"

"You did more than saved me, you loved me."
