Chapter 2

           When I got home, I go straight up to my room and turned up Pandora. Listening to music and getting lost into thought is what I do best. Life will be going downhill since Mason left. My mom don't even care for me she don't even know that I get states award for my drawings or anything it was Mason who raise me. He took me to my Art shows and the one who introduces me to sports and other stuff. I don't know what will happen to me hopefully I will live not that my mom care.

       I found a note on my desk saying that my family will be having dinner at the Johnson house. Ugh this is just great, I don't hate their family its just that I have nobody to talk to. I am also pretty sure that I am the least liked one in this family. I am a person who won't bit their own mouth and not as polite as Mason. But today we are planning on running a restaurant and I am allowed to design on how the place will look finally time so showoff my drawings.

        Before we left to the Johnson I threw on a sweater and a beanie and was ready to go. During the walk their my mom was lecturing me about having proper manners and to tried my best to get along with Nathan and Liam but I just zone out and let her keep talking. When we got to their house, I see my father car parked in the driveway. When I was 3 my dad left us and I never heard from him until I was 13 but I don't care for him anymore he is not even my dad. A father won't leave his family behind.

        I walked into the house and was greeted by Mrs. and Mr. Johnson. They are nice people but a bit annoying at times. I see my father walking towards me and my mom but I was all ready to turn him away. "Lydia, Kate it is nice to see you again." I give him a bored look. "James what an unpleasant surprise to see you here." After that comeback I got a slap on the back by my mom. We walked into the living room to start brainstorming ideas for the restaurant.

       Nathan and Liam walked into the room greeted everybody but me "shocker". Mrs. Johnson started right away. "Okay so Lydia, I know you are excited about designing the place so what ideas do you have?" I been thinking about this so much and I finally get to have a say. "Well beside doing a restaurant I was thinking about doing a café. We can serve food too but its mainly on coffee and pastry. We could also have a stage to have bands play and my friend Megan is in one so we have her play sometimes. This is just a place to get homework done or a place for us teens to hangout." Almost everybody agreed with me except for James and mom. Of course they would not agree with me. My mom stood up. "Lydia dear, this idea is not that good and I bet your father would agree with me on this." Then my mom tells her idea which is the same as my just with more fancy words and there goes my temper. "THAT IS THE EXACT SAME THING I JUST SAID!" "Lydia no it is not this is what we are going with so clam down." I stood up and looked at my parents. "YOU BOTH NEVER PAY ATTENTION TO ME WHAT SO EVER! YOU GUYS EVEN TOOK MY COLLEGE MONEY FOR THIS WITHOUT ASKING ME! I CANT WAIT TILL MASON COME BACK SO HE CAN TAKE ME WITH HIM AND I DONT EVER HAVE YOU SEE YOU TWO EVER AGAIN!"

       The room went quite and my mom looked really pissed but she didn't yell at me for once. "Honey I think you need to clam down. Nathan can you please walk Lydia back to our house?"
