About 15 minutes later we got to the café. It was at the promenade but this area was so empty compared to everywhere else but not for long. I got out of the car and followed Nathan into the café. When we got inside, oh my god this place was a mess. No wonder why we bought the building for such a low price. Everything in here was broken all the tables glasses and it was just dirty. "You have got to be kidding me." I blurted out. A pair of gloves hit me in the back of the head. "Well lets get to work the trash bags are over in the corner." Ugh so much work ahh this will be a long day.

An hour later I filled up 3 giant trash bags and its nice to see how I didn't even make a dent. I stood up to go get another bag but then I tripped over something but before I fell something was holding me up. "You have to watch out where you are going or else you would of got hurt." I quickly stood back up. "Um thanks, I owe you one." Oh my god why did I just say that gosh now I flipping owe him. He smiled at me. "I was hoping you say that. That favor is going to be useful one day now lets go we can come back tomorrow."

On the way back I was setting up my phone good thing I back every single thing on my phone so now I have all my contacts and music back in here. I got a text from Megan telling me she dropped off all of my homework at my house. Oh yeah I should go home tonight. When Nathan parked the car in the driveway I thanked him for everything and took my backpack and walked across the street back to my house. Suprisingly he didn't say anything about me going back home oh well, looks like he already knew I would do this. Saves time.

I went into the kitchen and found a note on the table and it was from James, of course.

Hello Lydia, your mother will be staying at my house for now she is not very happy with you but I figured you be coming back home at one point so I left you this note. I drop off food every week and I trust you to watch out for yourself if you need anything call me. I love you.

Whoo-Hooooo yes all alone!! This is like Home Alone 4 but better since this is real. I know that James doesn't really love my mom at one point he will kick her out of his place and she will have no where to go. I am really mean for even thinking about this but oh well that's her life not my. I quickly finished my homework took a shower so I can enjoy the rest of the night home alone. I was on my way downstairs when I heard a bang in the kitchen. Oh crap someone broke into my house. Forgot there will always be a bad guy in the Home Alone series, but the good guy always wins and plus I'm smart enough right? Yeah I think I am. Okay so there is no time for traps so I ran upstairs to grab a baseball bat and I slowly walked back down the stairs.

I made my way to the kitchen and no one was in there. Oh something must have fell down. Before I knew it the baseball bat was out of my hand and two arms wrapped around me and pulled me back. Oh man I'm dead. My heart is beating so rapidly and the baseball bat is now at my throat. I held my breath being scared of what's going to happen. "Are you scared?" I know that voice from anywhere oh my god it was Nathan. How could I fall for something like that man I will never live this down. I pushed Nathan back giving him a dirty look. "What is the matter with you!! I thought it was some lunatic out to kill me!" All Nathan did was starting cracking up. "Wow I can't believe you fell for that." "Why are you here anyway I have important things to get back to." "Oh and what's that going back to walking around the house with a baseball bat? And plus my mom wants to let you know that you are invited over to dinner tonight and any night after that." I wish I had Nathan mom as my mom. "Oh thanks but its alright I am going to stay home tonight and cook something myself." He grabbed my hand and gave it a quick squeeze. "Alright then, just don't burn down the house." "Cute" that was the only thing I could think of to say back. He left the house chuckling. ugh hate my life.
