Why Her? (16)

You where out with your 4 year old daughter and you decide to take her too the park since Harley is doing some work.
"Mommy is Momma gonna come too" she asked
"I don't know cupcake" you said. You could see that Jennifer looked pretty upset. Harley was always working so she never really saw her.
Then you got too the playground you let Jen go to play with the other kids. You didn't keep your eye of her. After a a couple minutes Jen was still running. You smiled she looks so adorable you thought.
Jen tried going up the wings but fell on her face. You then saw that a random lady came up to Jen to she if she was okay. You quick got up and ran towards here
"Jen are you okay?" You said walking towards her. The lady looked confused, then the little girl turned around and you say that wasn't Jen she just had the same clothes on. You quickly turned around to look for Jen. You were pacing really fast around the park. You couldn't find her your heart started to pound.
"Jennifer honey where are you?" You yelled there was no answer. You asked every lady if they saw your daughter they said no. You began to panic
"Jen!" You yelled you went out of the playground to look around. You couldn't find her. You immediately took out your phone and called Harley
"(Y/N) I'm im a meeting this better be important sugar" she said kinda mad
"Harley I don't know where Jen is! she is missing!" You yelled not loud but not soft.
"Wait what?"
"I took Jen to the park so she could have fun. Then I thought this little girl was Jennifer because they had the same clothes on turns out it's wasn't Jen. I have been looking for 45 mins I haven't got any luck yet. You need to come down here!" You said quickly
"Ok I'm on my way" Harley said. She then hung up and you were waiting for Harley.
You then say Harley's car parking on the side. She quickly ran too you. You both hugged each.
"I'm so fucking stupid I lost our kid Harley I'm the worst mom ever!" You said trying not to cry.
"It's okay sugar let's call the cops" you nodded.
Later that day tho cops asked you a couple questions and said they would get back too you as soon as possible.

~ 4 weeks Later ~

It's been 4 weeks since Jennifer had been taken. You felt alone and guilty because you were in charge of her and you fucked it up. You banged your head on the wall
"Fuck" you say. They you heard rumbling as it came up the stairs. Harley opens the door quick.
"They have news about Jen" she said. You immediately got up and ran down stairs. Commissioner Gordan was waiting at the table. You both sat down waiting eagerly to find out the news.
" Miss Quinn and Miss (Y/L/N) I'm sorry but we found Jennifer dead" he said. You couldn't believe the words that came from his mouth. You fell to the ground and bursted into tears. Your beautiful child is dead. Harley was in tears too. She came to the floor to carry you up back to the seat. Gordan then brought out pictures.
"These we taken yesterday. It look like someone beat her and also the doctors said it looked she was probably strangled to death. I'm so sorry" he said as he handed you the pictures. As you looked at the pictures you saw cuts and bruises on you little princess face. You cried as you looked at ever picture. You princess was gone. You felt as apart of you died.
You came back to your room and became angry. You threw everything everywhere. You stared to hit the wall. You then picked up the tv and smashed it. Harley came in and hugged you from behind.
"It's okay I know I know" she said
"Harley no it's not don't you understand we shouldn't be burying our daughter it should be ther other way around. We are not supposed to out live our kids. Why her why our little princess. She deserved better" you say as you began to cry in your hands. You and Harley didn't know how you guys were gonna keep going. Even though you guys weren't okay. But You both new that you guys will be oaky soon.
