The trip is for two months. After 10 days, Aarav's social meter is already exhausted. He is barely outside his room.Dia rushes everywhere, enjoying the moment but making sure Aarav isn't in any of them.
Well, that's what it looked like to their parents.
Like one day they saw Aarav go to the love seat.
Dia was already there.
"Scoot. Let me sit," they heard him say. She moved without a word.
They of course did not notice how surprised he was and fascinated too.
Why wasn't she affected?
He actually has fun messing with her.
They did not catch the flush in Dia's cheeks as their arms brushed while he flopped down.
Why doesn't he feel anything?
He can actually hold a good conversation. If he wants to. If she lets him.
But the parents only noticed how both turned away from each other, busy with their worlds.
"Are they going to sit like that all afternoon?" Dia's mother asks.
"Why don't they even speak for manners at least?" says Aarav's mother crossly.
"Shall we try to catalyse?" asks Dia's father.
The others stare at him.
"Raj, how many times were you made fun of for sneaking chemistry into normal conversations?
But no. Let's not catalyse. We will wait for a few more days " Aarav's father grins. All four of them stare into the space gloomily.
