Dia's P.O.V.
Okay something is wrong.
Aarav is looking at me almost affectionately.
"Are you bipolar or something? You are seriously freaking me out," I say.
He gives me his trademark scowl.
Ah! I feel so much better now.
He leans forward for something on the table and I stiffen.
"Afraid that you can't resist me?" he asks.
I open my mouth to let out a clever retort.
But that outfit or almost the lack of it renders me stupid. Idiot even flexes his muscles at all wrong times.
Luckily, the match starts then.
After some time he goes in and brings popcorn and then some drinks.
I soon realize that I am having so fun. With Aarav. Surprisingly, we both support the same team for once in our lives. We scream at the goals.
I wonder why his parents did not wake up with the noise we were making?
On second thought, why isn't the whole town up?
"Come on. Come on. You kick it hard. You can do it!" I chant, encouraging the player on the screen.
Aarav is under the safety of pillows. He barely looks at me or the match for the last few minutes.
Then GOAL.
I yell and do a victory dance.
Aarav comes out and jumps up and down like a kid, joining me.
Then he pumps his fist into air and grabs me for a hug.I jump around the room with him till his grip tightens.
I gasp for air.
"Aa..Aarav..can't..breathe"
He leaves me alone with a grin.
After the initial excitement, we settle down talking first about the match. Then other games and later about hobbies.
An hour later, we are discussing about our careers and families.
I hear Prateek Kuhad, Local train and Anuv Jain taking turns in the background.
I lean my head back on the sofa, still looking at him and smile.
Having random conversations about nothing and everything is underrated.
I can see the faint light glow of the bulb in the room and outline of mountains through the window behind him.
I really like his voice. I smile again.
I don't know when I fall asleep.
