The Not So Cliché Love story

The last day

" So this is it. The fairytale is over," sighs Dia.
Aarav rolls his eyes.
"And you say I am full of drama!"

They are on the swings in front of the hosue, gently moving.

People around them are in a frenze. Vivaan and Pari fighting over the food. Their fathers dragging suitcases out.
Their mothers saying goodbyes to everyone they lay their eyes on.

The last day in Manali.
Back to the cities and back to their offices.

" I am not sad about leaving you,"says Aarav.

" That's nice."

" No, we can always text or video call but this place was so much fun."

"True. I might get more action on phone than here considering all the interruptions."

Aarav bends his arms in a bowing gesture.

" What did I ever do to deserve you?"

" Killed a human?"

" Probably. But let's hope God is not keeping count."

They stay quiet for a minute, looking around.

" I will come to Hyderabad to meet you and talk about the joint operation in a few days."
" We will have to decide  between Manali, Hyderabad and Bombay!"

Aarav's Mom comes out. She pulls Dia up and hugs her.
" I will miss you, sweetheart. Get married to this idiot soon and we will have so much fun. "
Aarav and Dia freeze.
"Geez,Ma. What did we talk about baby steps and going slow?"

Dia's mother comes behind her.
"Boy,there is still time for that."

Dia bangs her head against the swing set.

The women walk away,whispering .

Aarav shakes his head at them and turns to Dia.

" We are leaving now. I guess this is goodbye."

Dia nods awkwardly.

They hug and let go of each other,unsure.

Dia walks a few steps.
She looks around,turns back and kisses him.

When he pulls her closer,she pushes him away,scanning the surroundings.

"No PDA. My mother is gonna have a heart attack,despite all those dirty jokes "

He groans.

"Finish what you started,Woman."

"Behave yourself,Man."

They grin and walk out.
