Once we were going to pay, some guys arrived and sniffed the air and they met eyes with me, "Look what we have Rick, the last she wolf is here, we should take her to our Alpha" A guy said to this other Rick guy and that's when I remembered that Em hasn't been doing her spell on me to keep my scent as a human's ...

NOAH'S POV (Third in command of Zach's pack)

When Rick and Ethan came and saw Sophie, I wasn't feeling so worried because those two are way to curious for their own good, I could take them down on my own, they are twins and the sons of an Alpha.

Back to reality, Em said "I handle this, I am sorry for not having done the spell Sophie" She said apologetically to Luna. I was really confused, so she is a witch WOW, I have never meet anyone except for Skyler (his mate), but it kinds of makes sense because werewolves can't be mated to humans only to supernaturals and she isn't a wolf neither a vampire, I should have guessed.

Then Ethan said "Rick are you stupid?? You just messed with a Cunningham, we still don't know what their family is capable of doing" looking at his brother as if he was really dumb. His brother face paled and then said "Now that I am thinking better, I haven't smelled a she wolf, have you Ethan??" He said nervous, he is so stupid and such a bad actor. Emily laughed and then she changed her color eyes and said some stuff in latin which I couldn't quite catch because her voice turned super deep and hoarse, we were all standing there amazed she then said "Your loyalty no longer lays on your father, it lays on the last Cunningham standing" and then they fell limp into the floor and she just went back to normal.

So she is a Cunningham, WOW, her powers are enormous, I got out of my thoughts and said  "Okay Lunas I think it is time for us to go" they both nodded and we headed to the pack house. I mind linked Alpha Zach and told him everything and he heard me and answered 'come fast and bring me MY mate' .

ZACH'S POV

After Noah mind linked me I got so worried, I just feel so possessive over her for many reason, firstly because it is an instinct to protect and be possessive of your mate, secondly because I am an Alpha which means I have those feeling of protectiveness and possessiveness towards her stronger and lastly because every single Alpha around the world is haunting her down to mate with her. Just the thought of another male hurting her or touching her the wrong way makes me want to kill this person and make him feel more pain than he has ever imagined.

I was telling Vincent about what happened, he was as mad as me but also you could see the pride he had towards his mate because of her strength and capacity of defending herself. Suddenly we heard the car pulling up in my house, and from there came Emily, Clara, Noah, Zed, two guards from Vincent's pack and my gorgeous mate.

Emily and Sophie started walking toward us and when she was close enough I grabbed her softly by her wrist and pulled her to me, to calm myself and assure that she was safe in my arms where she belongs, it surprised me that she didn't even gave me a look because she wanted to take everything slow, instead she hugged me back as if she could bury herself in my body and she didn't have to face anything else.

I smiled, I was so overjoyed by the fact that she felt that safety and comfort with me. Then she unlatched herself from me, even though I didn't wanted her to do it she seemed as if she wanted to speak so I reluctantly let her.

"Why did you say the last Cunningham standing Em?? Isn't your father and your other sister alive??" Sophie's soft voice said curiously, Emily let some tears fall and said "As you know witches are born with powers, and the beginning of our lives we aren't given a chance to choose if we would like or not to be the way we are, but after our 20th birthday we can choose to have the powers or not, and as you know my mom died, my sister died, my other sister Madison she chose not to have powers and left and finally my dad, I don't want anyone knowing he is alive, so I said the last Cunningham standing" and then she sobbed.

I know they had been through some hard years, and it pained me not being there for her friend who seems nice, but mostly it pained me not being there for my mate who also suffered a lot.

I went out of my thoughts when I stopped feeling the tingles in my hand, and when I lifted my head my Sophie was hugging and whispering sweet things to her best friend "I know you miss them, believe me I miss my dad too but we will get over it, Em we survived all the challenges that have come our way, we need to keep doing it for a little longer and then when this is all solved and believe me it will be solved, we will have our happy families again" my sweet mate told her friend while letting some of her own tears fall.

It broke my heart how hurt she is, I will put aside this war with my brother and dedicate myself fully to protect her and then I will cherish the only person capable of loving me for who I am, a monster. Vincent hugged Emily while I went to hug my kitten.

It is around lunch time so I offered Vincent and Emily to stay to have lunch and to learn more about my mate...

RYAN'S POV (he is the HE Sophie talked about, the lycan, the creepy one)

"You better be coming in here with good news Dom, or else I'll give you some seconds to go away" I say annoyed with this stupid team I have made, How on earth did those two girls are out of my hold after three years of pure research??, even worst some days ago I have received some news that send me on edge.

I allied myself with this stupid crew of hunters to kill some werewolves only if my Sophie was spared, being a lycan means I am way stronger than a common wolf, so this idiot hunters needed me to take their plan into action and because they depend on me I have become their leader.

I have always wanted a mate, but it is really unusual for lycans to have mates, one every three or four generations has the privilege, don't ask me why cause I have no clue, some old myth. Seems that the Cunningham's powers made us stronger so they had to take something from us and our ancestors got into a deal so every three or four generations a Lycan gets a mate.

So ever since I was a kid I started dreaming of having my mate, the problem was that my parents were mates which means I grew up thinking I didn't have a chance, so I tracked the Cunningham (only a Cunningham can change the spell their ancestors made) and talked with the parents so that they can do a spell to grant me a mate, however they just said they respect all the decisions made by their ancestors.

At the beginning I started to lose hope, until I found out they have three daughter I tried talking with the elder one whose name was Nicole but as she was just rejected by her mate she was like you don't need that so I won't do that spell; therefore I started to try with the other one whose name is Madison and I don't remember what I did but I was able to convince her to finally give me my mate.

Before she did her spell, I was in her house and there was a girl, my girl, Sophie, I instantly fell something for her and I wanted her to be mine so I told Madison to make me her mate and she agreed; the day after she turned 20 she made the spell.

After that I started to watched my mate for a whole month to learn about her before taking her with me and as I was about to claim MY mate, Madison got in my way she was crying and saying that she was drunk when she did the spell and never wanted to give such an innocent girl as Sophie to me; and after that she did what I never expected, she gave up her powers, which means her spells disappear with it, so she thought she was saving Sophie from me but boy was she wrong.

I hurted her and threatened her to tell her parents she wanted to move away and get to know the world, they believed her and ever since then I have her in my cells.

So I helped this hunters to kill some werewolves as they aren't my race, so why should I defend them?? but they had to agree to spare my mate's life because I don't care if the spell is gone now, she is MINE

Coming back to reality, "Sir now I can confirm you that Zach has claimed her as his" Dominic said shaking, and as I told before, those were the news that were sending me to edge, another man claiming MY mate. I dismissed Dom and stared thinking about my new plan.
