Romano x Male Reader (Christmas Special)

You were quick to be out of bed, as it was christmas morning.

This year you were celebrating the holiday with your boyfriend, Lovino and his family. Including Feliciano and his boyfriend Ludwig. It was supposed to be a little get together kind of thing, since you weren't that fond of a lot of people.

You knew Feliciano was already here as you could hear him giggling downstairs, and afterwards a small scolding from Lovino.

You found some comfy clothes, that consisted of a mostly red ugly christmas sweater, that your friend Francis gave you, that said 'Here comes your favourite Ho Ho Ho'. It was overdecorated with little lights and some green. To the sweater you just added some black pants. As you went downstairs you were met with laughter and the two Italians. Usually it would only be Feliciano who was laughing, but you could hear Lovinos laugh the most, for a change. As the laughing died down, you had made it to the living room, giving Lovino a hug from behind. "Morning Lovino.." You said, still a bit sleepy as you kissed his cheek.

You could feel Lovino jumping a bit. Cute~.

"(M/N)! Idiota! Are you-a trying to give-a me a heart attack?" He yelled, jumping up looking at you. "Stupid cute ass-a boyfriend" He mumbled as he buried his face in your chest. "Fratello! You-a have to be-a nice to (M/N) when it's-a christmas!" Feliciano tried scolding. It didn't help.

You had been able to sit down, only for Lovino to snuggle up in your lap. You wanted to wait with opening the gifts to Ludwig made it to your place, but apparently you were the only one. Feliciano was already opening the one from you. It wasn't anything big. It was a small gift card to a new place that had just opened called 'Pasta Palace'. You wondered a bit that he hadn't been there yet, but let it slide, as he started thanking you. After that and a couple of other smaller gifts you heard a knock on the door. You went to go open, with loud protests heard from Lovino who didn't want to move. When you finally got to the door, you were met by blue eyes. "Hallo (M/N), Merry christmas" he said as you let him in. He had a couple of gifts in his hands and a bag with groceries and what looked like Lebkuchen ale. "Doitsu~" Feliciano said as he came running to the door. You took the groceries from Ludwig, Lovino taking the gifts, then gently placing them under the tree.

As you had all made it inside the living room again, the four of you sitting on the floor, opening more presents. You got more gifts than expected. Ludwig had given you some german beer, that you really liked last time you visited his brother. Italy had taken the time to draw you a picture, of you and Lovino. He had even framed it. Lovino wanted to wait for his gift to be the last one. He had told you, that he didn't pick it himself, so you shouldn't be mad at him if you didn't like it. When you had ripped of the wrapping it revealed a box. It was not small, but not big either. In the box was a camera. You liked photography, and you loved taking pictures of everything important in your life, just to keep them in a scrapbook.

Lovino always thought it was a nice thing of him to do. So when Gilbert and Antonio had told him to just get the camera he was quick to agree. Maybe a bit too quick? The look on your face went from shocked to happy in seconds.

You were smiling a big smile, and kissing Lovino. You were so happy. But actually a bit nervous as well.

Soon all of the gift had been opened and Ludwig and Italy wanted to start on the christmas meal, they was going to prepare for tonight.

Although you had given the camera to Ludwig, and asked both him and Feliciano to stay in the living room, just for a couple of minutes longer.

Then you had to go get Lovino. Right now he was outside getting some fresh air.

"Lovino?" You called out, making him turn around to look at you. "Hmm?" He answered, looking a bit tired already although it was only 1.30 pm. "Come join us inside, pleeease?" you asked him, taking his hand. You kissed his cheek, and took his hand leading him inside.

"You know I love you a lot right, Lovino?" You said, stopping and looking at him. "Do you love me?" You asked, in all seriousness. "Yes, of course-a I do, idiota!" He got all flustered.

"That's good" You said. You were now in the middle of the living room, Ludwig and Feliciano talking. "I have an announcement" I said getting the attention of every person in the room. "Well this is kind of awkward.." You mumbled. You then continued with "So. Lovino, he loves me" You looked at him. "And I love him" You couldn't help but nimble with your lip. A thing you always did when you got nervous. "A whole lot. Actually" He started looking at you with this weird facial expression, that made you chuckle a little.

You then turned to Lovino.

"Lovino. I love you a lot. You've stuck with me for a little over 4 years now, and each days is amazing. As you know I like documenting things. It's my little way of seeing that I'm doing something with my life." You then found a gift. It was nicely wrapped, and quite the size. You then gave it to Lovino. "I want you to have this"

As he opened the presents it started to reveal a scrapbook inside. It was white and in avery nice material. On the front was a picture of the two of you smiling. Under the picture was the word 'Wedding' written. As Lovino observed the scrapbook, you had gotten on your knees. Only when you pulled out the ring he realized what was happening. You could hear small 'clicks' in the background, letting you know Ludwig was taking pictures. "Lovino, I love you" You looked up at him, only to see him smiling, with tears in his eyes. "Will you marry me?" You asked, with hope in your eyes.

"YES!" He said hugging you as close to his body as possible. "Ti amo troppo, idiota!"

You then sat down, putting the ring on his finger. Both Ludwig and Feliciano congratulated you. "Mio fratello is getting-a married!" Feliciano almost yelled. Ludwig stayed a bit more toned down saying "I wish you the best in the future". He then went to the kitchen to start on the christmas dinner.

You the rest of the day watching christmas movies on the television with Feliciano. You and Lovino cuddling each other, where Feliciano were to settle for some blankets.

You enjoyed the dinner Ludwig cooked later on, laughter filling the rooms of you and Lovinos house. When Feliciano and Ludwig went home you ended up falling a sleep, cuddling in bed.
