Japan x Male Reader (Scribble On Textbook AU)

The library was a quiet place as usual, mostly hosting the socially awkward and not psychically engaging kids, just as almost every school library would. Studying had always been a thing most teens would try and get done while spending time at the library, although a bit of murmuring and a few low laughs could be heard from time to other from the few groups who sat in the back of the large room, supposedly doing group work where as in reality most of them were napping.

Kiku on the other hand was nothing like that, a quite shy boy who didn't exactly engage in such activities as he would mostly keep quiet as well as to himself. Using his free time in the library to get down the last of his studying as well as looking into a few subjects of his own interest. One day, Kiku had seated himself in the corner of the library as his usual spot was taken, as well as his favourite book who had been laying on the edge of the table Kiku had previously been sitting at, only to be snatched away by a boy the Japanese male had no idea ho was.

Luckily for Kiku, the boy didn't stay long and soon put away the book after making a small scribble on a yellow post it note as he had probably found the information he had been looking after in the beginning. Ticking his head upwards, Kiku let his gentle, deep brown eyes scatter over the boring view, scanning each bookcase, corner and edge, soon finding the book where he had left it in the first place, nicely laid out with a few crumbled together sticky notes.

Not bothering to look further, Kiku stood up and dragged his petite body over the dark brown, wooden floor towards the seat he was aiming to sit in. Soon reaching his destination, the ravenette sat down, his small bag hitting the ground with a gentle thump that could still e heard throughout the entire library, making a few people turn their heads, especially as another sound was heard, the low sound of a chair shrieking against the floor, causing Kiku to very quickly pick his chair up and sit properly down, his head soon buried in the book he had so desperately been waiting for.

Although as Kiku opened up the book, random pen scribbles could be seen around the corners of the book, making Kiku cringe somewhat and feel his love for the before perfectly contained book, die a little.

Sighing he turned another page, seeing dirty and nervous scribbles on a somewhat intact post it note, seemingly addressing Kiku himself.

'To the random guy staring at me from the other side of the room. I really hope you just want your seat and book back..'

The note read, causing Kiku to silently huff to himself, finding the small comment a bit funny after finally figuring out what the note in reality said, the messy handwriting a bit difficult to decipher. Kiku soon took out the note, placing it on the table, using his pale thumb to press it towards the hard surface, making the post it note stick to said table.

Kiku soon brushed it off as something not important, starting to look through the book before eventually wanting to take notes. Although as he hadn't brought any essentials for the task, Kiku ended up letting his eyes wander towards the table, the yellow post it note starting to curl up as it was no longer as sticky as it had previously been, the slick, sticky sound of the backside of said paper leaving the table sounding annoying, Kiku not being able to help himself as he ended up with soft goosebumps.

Looking at the now curled together piece of paper, Kiku sighed a bit before deciding to take a closer look at said paper, lifting it as he started looking at the small scribbles. 'I guess.. I could write back?' Kiku thought to himself, the expression on his face continuing to stay neutral, although a bit more to the side of confusion.

Picking up the pen that had been left alongside of the block of different coloured sticky notes, the Japanese boy started coming up with a few things he could write back, although in reality not coming up with anything as he made sure the pen didn't touch the paper, incase he made a mistake.
