Mundane high school

Chapter 1

Hi this is my first ever fanfic so it probably won't be great. Disclaimer: all characters and anything else you recognise are owned by the wonderful Cassandra Clare.

Clary Pov:
I wake up to my best friend throwing a pillow at my face laughing. "Ughhhhhh Simon!" I say still trying waking up. "Come on Clary it's time to get up first day at Idris High, you don't want to be late." Simon manages to get out through laughing fits. Simon is my best friend, but he also become my brother three years ago when my parents died in a car crash. The Lewis family took me in, saving me from going to the orphanage. Me, Simon, Rebecca (Simon's sister) and his mum just moved to Idris last week and today is our first day at Idris High.

I get up quickly put on my paint splatter jeans and a Star Wars top and head down stairs for breakfast. After breakfast I grab my sketchbook and bag and head out the door. When Simon and I arrive at school I suddenly feel extremely overwhelmed. This place is at least three times bigger than all the other schools I have ever been to put together. I look around taking in the school when I see a group of girls all wearing five pounds and of makeup and dresses so short you can hardly see them and I realise I have found the popular girls. I am thinking about how I can avoid them when I see one the girls walk about to a guy and give him a kiss. The guy is so hot! He has dreamy golden eyes, an amazing tan, blond hair and obvious muscles showing through his shirt. I look over to Simon to see is already out of the car. I jump out to join him and we walk in together. "Hi are you new here?" A friendly voice asked. I looked around to see a tall girl with long black hair and dark brown eyes smiling at us. "Yeah...... Yes..... um yes we are" Simon replies while staring at the girl. She doesn't seem to notice though. "Is it really that obvious?" I ask. She just laughs and shows us where the office is then heads of to class. The classes go so quickly I couldn't even tell you what we were doing. At lunch Simon and I found a quite table and ate. After lunch I had art. Art is my favourite subject so I got into it easily, we were drawing portraits of people, I drew Simon.

As we were leaving school that day I saw the hot guy from this morning at the track running. He was with another boy who was tall with black hair and piercing blue eyes. Simon saw the girl who helped us this morning so we went over to thank Her and introduce ourselves. "Hi... um, uh" Simon stuttered. "We wanted to uh... thank you for.... helping us uh find our way to the office this morning" I think Simon has a thing for this girl. " Hi that's alright, I'm Izzy by the way and this is my friend Maia." She said gesturing to the girl next to her. "Hi Izzy, hey Maia I'm Clary and this is Simon." I told them. The two boys came off the track and ran up to the girls "Izzy, Maia come on lets go get something from Taki's" the boy with the golden eyes says. "This is Jace and Alec my brothers" Izzy informs us. "Well we better go it was nice meeting you two, see you tomorrow." And with that the four of them walked off. Simon and I headed home and spent the night watching movies and eating pizza.

Sorry about how short the chapter is, they get longer and better I promise.
