"You're not even going to give me a ride to the airport?!" Brad yelled, standing outside my apartment holding his bags, and t-shirt. "Uber," I said, slamming the door in his face. I dialed Josh's phone number in my phone, and got no answer.
"Hey Josh, I'm home, Brad's not. I kicked him out so our humble abode is now a safe place again. Jessica and I might go to a party tonight so call me if you want to tag along," I said, leaving a voicemail.
I walked into Jessica's room seeing her sitting on her bed with a towel wrapped around her body, and helped her get dressed.
I did feel really guilty for sleeping with Max, once or eight times... But what Jessica doesn't know won't kill her, right?
I slipped a big t-shirt over Jessica's torso, and felt her pain. The debilitating pain after someone you love walks out on you. She laid down in the pastel pink sheets covering her bed, and I laid next to her. She laid her head on my shoulder, and softly sniffled.
"There's a party tonight and we're invited," she looked up at me. "Who's?" her voice was shakey. "My- erm- friend said his friend David is having a party,"
She positioned her head back down to where I couldn't see her big brown eyes, and freckles. "I think it will be good for you," I said rubbing my hand up and down her back. She sighed. "Jessica, you can't stay home by yourself, god knows when Josh is coming back," I said. "He said he would be back today when he left,"
"Jess, you know Josh," I said, knowing he probably wouldn't be home. She sighed again, then sat up. "Hey i know what will make you feel better," I said. Her eyebrows furrowed. "Let's go get donuts,"
"Donuts?"
"Yeah! I got the best donuts and coffee with boyf- Uh- my friend this morning,"
"Why do you keep saying your friend," she asked, moving her hair from her shoulder. I sighed. "Because I don't know what we are," I said. "Oh?" she asked. "We had sex and we act like a couple, but I honestly don't know him too well," I laughed uncomfortably. Jessica gave a small smile and wiped the tears that came off her eyelashes. "Thank you," she said. I furrowed my eyebrows, confused.
"What?"
"You didn't have to help me, and you did, so thank you," she smiled. I gave her a huge hug, then held her shoulders in front of her. "Let's go get donuts," I smiled.

After changing into leggings rather than Zane's boxers, Jessica threw me her keys, and I drove us the forty minutes to K's Donut Emporium.
We walked in, and were greeted by the workers. "Get the pink donut," I said to Jessica. When she went up to order, she got the pink donut and a large iced coffee, and i ordered an iced coffee. I paid, and we walked out and I had strong Deja Vu... Partially because I was there two hours earlier. She took a bite in the parking lot. "Holy shit," she said. "Right?!" I said, getting on the driver's side. "Hey lets go splurge on some outfits for the party tonight," I suggested getting into Jessica's white BMW.
"That actually sounds really fun," she said. I slipped my sunglasses on my face, and drove to the closest mall which was still 55 minutes away with traffic.
We both left with items from H&M. Jessica bought a $35 outfit which included a cute baby pink crop top, and a slim body conscious pencil skirt. I bought a $25 body conscious, sleeveless, slim fitting black dress I plan to wear with my dad's old denim patched jacket, ripped tights, and the combat boots I found at goodwill for 7 dollars.
On the way home, Jessica drove because she was feeling a little better, and I texted Zane.
B: I just got a dress for the party, and it looks pretty good on me.
