"Will you marry me?"
I looked at Zane's big brown eyes, and covered my mouth. I shook my head viciously. "Yes, yes!" I exclaimed. Zane slid the ring on my finger, and stood up. The patrons of the restaurant clapped while Zane kissed me hard. He hugged me tightly.
"I love you so much," I cried into his neck. He put his hands behind my hair, and kissed me again. Scotty patted my back. "Were you in on this?" I asked, tears streaming down my cheeks. He smiled. I hit his chest. Pretty soon all our friends showed up. Turns out everyone was there the whole time. Carly, Erin, Gabby, Christine, Elijah, Liza, Heath, Scotty, Kristen, Matt, Alex, David, Elton even Tom all saw!
I looked around and smiled at everyone. Zane pulled my hips closer to him, and the waitress pushed together four tables for the sixteen of us to eat brunch.
I sat next to Zane, and Gabbie and Heath sat in front of us. Gabbie and I sat admiring the beautiful ring. "This is the exact one I was looking at, how did you know?" I asked, cuddling up to Zane's shoulder. Gabbie smiled, and Zane pulled me closer. "Gabbie!" I yelled, swatting at her hand. "Remember when we went into Tiffany's and I 'wanted some new earrings'," she said in quotes. "And you picked out the princess cut halo diamond ring with 18k white gold in a size 8, and said "wow, what if Zane got this for me?"," she said, intertwining her fingers together, and gazing off as if she were seeing a flashback. I smiled. "You like it?" Zane asked. I kissed him. "Of course I do,"
I turned back to Gabbie. "Well if it weren't for you, I wouldn't have even met Zane, so, thank you. So much Gab," I said, holding her hand from across the table. She smiled. "Stop I'm gonna cry!" she yelled. I smiled softly at her, and Zane wrapped his arm around my shoulders.
"I wanna say a toast!" Scotty said, standing up holding his flute of mimosa. "Zane," he started. "I never thought you would find someone who can put up with how disgustingly messy you are," I laughed. "Or how you get moody after not eating for 2 hours," Zane laughed, and looked down. "And Bryn I am so glad, not only Zane met you, but I met you because I think you really have change all of our lives for the greater good. You're such a sweet girl and you and Zane really belong together. Love you guys," he said, raising his glass up high. Alex stood up right after. "Brynlee, where do I even start. I've known you since the diaper days. You were the secret love of my life in middle school,"
"Aw," I said, holding my heart, and trying not to cry from everyone's kind words. "You are the sweetest, most selfless person I've ever met. You went through a rough patch, then got something great out of it, and that something is Zane. I wouldn't have wanted anyone else to marry you, love you guys," he smiled, sitting down. "Love you Alex," I said from the other end of the table. Next Heath stood.
"Baby, you are my best friend," he said to Zane. "When you told me you were going to ask Bryn out I thought you were crazy because a.) she's way out of your league, and b.) she's a lot cooler than you, but I guess it was just love at fist sight," I smiled at Heath, tears rising in my eyes. "Like everyone else said, you guys really are meant for each other. I love you both," he said. Zane smiled and held me closer. I looked at my beautiful ring, and back up to Zane.
