Kendrick's P.O.V

After I dropped Nicole home, I went to the library. My mom was there as the guest reader and she wanted me to rap apart of the book since that was the type of music most of the kids there listened to. As I was driving there I saw my homie Quincy.

" wuzzup bruh" I said pulling to the side of the road.

"everything jiggy" he replied giving me a fist punch.

" need a ride" I said.

" um I wouldn't mind, trap house next to the library" he said.

Note: Quincy ( Schoolboy Q) is a drug dealer.

He hoped in clearing the passenger seat of all the papers on it.

" So who's this Nicole" he asked smiling.

" um how do you know her" I said giving him a quick glance.

" I don't but whoever she is she left her number" he said handing me the piece of paper.

" oh she just my friend from school" I said in a uneasy voice.

The rest of the drive was quiet. I dropped him to his stop. Then parked in the empty parking lot.

Nicole's P.O.V

I walked into my house smiling. Was my ass really that big I thought. I hopped on my phone to call my bff Nicki.

" Hello" she answered.

" Kendrick Duckworth" I yelled into the phone.

"What about him" she asked.

" that's the boy I have been crushing over" I replied.

" now you tell me, is this why you and sherane don't get along" she said realizing the reason.

" kinda, he dropped me home today" I screamed changing the subject.

"cool boo, i'm happy for ya" she said.

"thanks I'm sorry I didn't tell you sooner nicks" I said really meaning it.

"its cool girl, lets finish this in person, talk about it tomorrow in school" she asked.

"Sure girl, talk to you later."

Kendrick's P.O.V

After I rapped Little Red Riding Hood, me and momma drove home.

" So Kenny, me and your dad are going to Chicago to help your grandfather after he had that serious stroke" she said.

"So you gonna call aunt Susan to watch me an the house huh" I said kinda annoyed.

" no me and your pops talked and where gonna leave you with the house and cars" she said.

"thanks ma, but i'll stick with one car."

"ok Kenny, now don't mess this up, I persuaded your dad now don't embarrass both of us"

" I won't ma, I love you".

" I love you to Kenny" she said kissing my cheek.

" So when do you leave"

" uh, we actually leave at 8:30....... tonight"

"mom its 5: 55" I said slamming the brakes.

" Kenny, just drive your dad supposed to meet us so I can go straight to the airport"

We drove for 3 minutes before we met up with pops. Mom hoped in his car and they drove off.

Six months and the house just to me. I pulled out my phone to call Nicole.

we chatted and I told her how my parents were gone for 6 months and she told me how her dad wasn't coming back until around that time as well.

" well I need some help with that algebra homework" I said flirting a bit.

" well I am good at algebra" she said also flirting.

" I'll come and get you and maybe you can help me" I said.

" While I'm helping you, can you help me with the history assignment" she asked

"Sure, I'm on my way for you" I told her.

"See you soon" she replied.

It was settled I liked Nicole, and I had a feeling she liked me back.
