Chapter 9

Kendrick's P.O.V

After school I found Nicole talking with Mrs. Lopez, the school's nurse. She looked serious, both of them did. I walked over to them to see if I could be of any help, but as soon as the nurse saw me she wrapped up the conversation.

"Nicole we'll finish this on moday, ok dear."

"Alright" Nicole said her voice sounding kind of shaky.

What was that about" I asked Nicole.

"Oh, she was telling me that Nicki came to her this morning for headaches, and vomiting" she said

"Oh, that sounds kinda serious" said concerned.

"I know, I gotta call her when I get home" she said.

For the rest of the ride it was quiet, it was awkward, it wasn't us. How Nicole was acting that doesn't sound like that was all nurse Lopez told her.

Nicole's P.O.V

I couldn't tell Kendrick that nurse told me that Nicki could possibly be pregnant. I mean she didn't take the test, nurse just said they were early symptoms. Why her, the last time I checked, she wasn't even sexually active.

"So is it still on for tonight" Kendrick asked breaking me out of my daydream.

"Pardon" I asked reconnecting myself with the real world.

"are we still having our sleepover" he said doing one of my cheerleading poses.

We swerved off the road.

"what the hell Kendrick, keep your Hands on the Wheel" I said playfully punching him.

"Fuck that" he said laughing.

"Yeah, I was planning for us to go to a party tonight. If its ok with you" I said.

"Yeah no prob. I'm gonna go home, get some clothes and I should be back in bout 25- 30 mins" he said looking at his watch.

"ok" I said.

He walked me to the door, we hugged then I did the unthinkable.

I kissed him. On the lips. I quickly pulled back.

"I'm so sor- "

He kissed me back. On the lips. And he grabbed my ass. I screamed inside.

"That should be our new secret hand shake", he said walking back towards the car.

"Yeah" I shouted back kinda upset with him.

He still only considered us friends. How can a boy with a G.P.A of 3.85 be so stupid.

I wanted him to make me say his name.
